The standard control pad works, but aiming with the Wiimote is just easier.

Why not just go the whole way and use a mouse?

RE4 Wii Edition on Wii is far better controlling than the HD version actually on 360.

This is correct.

A few scenic shots from Dead Island Rip Tide (PC version). Looking very nice so far - a modest improvement on the original game.

They look gash Cal. Needs some AA. That bridge shot is horrendous.

I needed to take an emergency trip to A&E after I sliced my eyes open on those jaggies.

If you're making a game set in a jungle and it doesn't look at least as good as a game from 2007 (Crysis) you should probably disband your studio.

Why the developers of Riptide thought it was a good idea to make their sequel the same as the first DI game, but with none of the benefits sequels tend to bring (better visuals, new ideas, refinements and improvements etc) I have no idea. They should've taken it to Scandinavia or something; towns of a reasonable size but not too big, castles, lots of forests, mountains and snow fields and potential for a central/western/southern European (or something more eastern) sequel.

Some more Dead Island Rip Tide (PC version) screens, this time with AA enabled and other stuff via the Nvidia control panel. It really is a nice looking game and I'm enjoying it more than the first game, so far (2 hours played). Playing as the new character, which is very melee-based.

I use FXAA a lot in games and mine never appear that jaggy. Anyway, never played the Mario Galaxy games so can they be played using a 360 pad on Dolphin?

FXAA and a couple of other post AA methods don't get picked up in screenshots.

And yeah, you can play it quite well. The only problem I can see is that there's one or two levels which require you to hold the Wii mote upright and tilt it to steer mario (he's running on a ball), and I haven't figured that bit out yet. I'm thinking just map the x and y axis of the wiimote to the right stick, but I'm not sure.

I think I'm just going to use my wiimote with a bluetooth thing, which you can get for next to nothing. Can't be bothered with a wireless sensor bar, though - the mouse works well enough and you don't need to point in SMG2 very much, unless you want to use the star bits.

All in all though, if you have a Wiimote and nunchuck already, you can set it up to work perfectly for less than a tenner.

Always bugged me that you get strawberry floated up and shot in the head and then look fine. Well I sorted that gooseberry fool.

You're playing as Frances from Malcolm in the Middle?
