If I opened my door and Theresa May was standing there I'd probably scream in horror thinking someone in a horrific mask was trying to rob me and kick her in the stomach.

Yep, playing it ridiculously safe as always. She is so, so gooseberry fool as a leader.

And yet she is so much more of one than Corbyn.

Life just isn't fair is it.

I personally don't think she is. I think shes a massive fake. She looks a bit like Thatcher and has everyone fooled. I'm not.

Thats not to say I'm a massive Corbyn supporter (I'll be voting Lib Dem) but that woman is getting off scot-free.

I think the Tories have some good politicians. She is not one of them.

To be fair, that seems a bit damned-if-she-does, damned-if-she-doesn't.

More 'gets off scot-free is she doesn't, gets off scot-free is she does'. Cameron got way more questioning than the kid gloves approach she gets.

I just hope she doesn't do as well as expected.

Sadly she'll probably do better than expected.

I could genuinely see a 'Lib Dem surge' but it won't be nearly enough to deny the Tories a majority. May is terrible but there's no way she can squander a 50% voting intention, what, 7 (ish?) weeks out from an election.

Thanks, that's my previous question answered.

It's pretty disappointing that whilst we were all keen to jump on the Daily Mail "Legs-it" bullshit and call out sexism, plenty of people on here, rather than attack Teresa May for legitimate reasons like policy or performance in government, would rather just call her banana split/bitch/witch and attack her over her appearance.

Her policies and performance in government have been torn into more than plenty around here.

Those two things are not related. Nobody here is attacking her or calling her names because she is a woman, but because they think she's a horrible person.

I'd call Gove or Hunt the exact same names as I call May.

Policy wise it's hard to find much to agree with. The only decent ones she's come up with were stolen from Ed Miliband.

I hate comments like these because they put you against a wall. If you think the commenter is being unfair then you better watch out, 'cause one misstep in your reply and you're left wide open to "so being insulting is okay when you do it, huh?"

Well, anyway...

Look, in an ideal world no-one would use personal insults against people they disagreed with. I totally agree with that. But what we have on here is a bunch of nobodies on an internet forum chatting to a few dozen (tobias.gif) anonymous friends, blowing off steam about a politician they hate because her policies are grotesque. This is obviously completely different to the prejudice-reinforcing deliberately-controversial vitriol given a national platform in the guise of 'news' in the Mail. The comparison between the two situations is completely ridiculous.

EDIT: Quoting so it doesn't get lost, I agree with this too:

Marry Gove, he seems like an utterly spineless gimp so you could probably just completely ignore him and do whatever you want anyway.
