That's...not funny?

I'm no fan of Diane Abbott but Andrew Marr was a bit of a banana split in their interview this morning.

No, because Corbyn says he never met IRA members and says he met Sinn Fein when everyone says they were one and the same thing in the 80s.

So Gerry Adams is the real Santa and Corbyn was showing his allegiance to the true faith by dressing as Father Christmas?

Precisely.

I actually can't tell if that's a good photoshop or if Corbyn has actually dressed as Father Christmas at some stage.

A viewer question asks Corbyn what would happen if companies leave Britain as a result of corporation tax rising. The Labour leader says they would still be doing business in the UK.

Not sure if evasive answer or he doesn't understand question

I would guess that the majority of businesses would still be doing stuff with the UK, just loads will move their UK bases abroad to avoid higher tax levels...

All I've seen is the conservatives attacking everyone at every opportunity, banging on constantly about Corbyn and the IRA. Which i don't actually get. Then there's TM, who has changed her mind on policies, backtracked on promises and her party being arrogant banana splits. And that interview on C4 where the presenter reads off the original script from Boris strawberry floating Johnson, and the guy being interviewed thinks Corbyn said it first.

But Corbyn met IRA members 20 years ago so thats all we need to know right?

Fabian Delph is a banana split.

Is the IRA thing the UK equivalent of "BUT HER EMAILS!"?

There's a little more meat to it than that, it basically comes down to Corbyn meeting with Sinn Fein (who were pretty much IRA back then) in the 80s and going to protests over the way IRA suspects/bombers were tried.

He did similar things later on with Hamas.

The right wing see that as evidence that he is a supporter of terrorism.

The left wing see it as him attempting to save the world by making friends with everyone.

Personally I think it just shows how much of a soft lefty "let's love and hug everyone and everything will be beautiful and lovely" Corbyn was/is. Misguided, probably, but not evil or in favour of bombing campaigns.

Has Diane Abbott changed the way she talks recently? She sounds like she has brain damage.

I think she just gets breathless from talking due to being old and obese. She sounds the same as a few years ago when she came out with the "on balance, Mao did more good than bad" line. Just bigger and more frequent gasps for air inbetween talking. Probably has high blood pressure too given her size.
