59.4% Conservative with UKIP coming in second with 15.2%.

Great. :|

How do you do that? I'd be interested to see what my area was.

Easiest place.

If the Lib Dems and Labour had any sense and conviction they would agree to not run against each other in key seats.

51% Conservative followed by 18% UKIP. Wonderful.

The good thing is the debates with multiple leaders will likely knock May's popularity down. Whether it's enough for a coalition is a big ask though.

Wanted to vote Lib Dem this time, but looking at their results here in the past it would just be a wasted vote.

This country really is going down the shitter.

Not really, the 2015 result is going to be repeated for safe Tory seats an overwhelming majority of the time.

You're missing the Brexit factor. The Lib Dem vote could surge (although it won't if remain voters base their vote on the 2015 election for some reason).

This, Labour and Conservative are Pro-Brexit, Lib Dems are Anti-Brexit so if it a choice between the two and with Lib Dems being the only "major" party that is against Brexit I can see them surging, this election is an in or out vote really. With this little time it will be a single issue election and Brexit will be that issue.

My area was 59.7% Conservative with Labour 2nd at just 15.5%.

I'll be voting Labour again but Tories have already won my area :(

The thing is there are millions of people who vote tory or labour regardless of the current issues and whether they like their leadership or not. There will be some swing with some voters who may vote for the Lib Dems as they are the only anti brexit party but i'm not sure how many. I want to see the Lib Dems really run on anti ticket and see what happens but they are pretty useless so i don't expect them to get their message across well enough leaving a lot of voters not even realising what their position is.

Meanwhile the SNP will further strengthen their position in Scotland.

To be honest, I've heard that my entire life, from every demographic imaginable. It's a perpetual thing. As always it depends where you live already, your viewpoint on politics, & where you are on the social ladder.

If you're poverty stricken in, say, Thanet, Janet then yeah it probably already is pretty shitty and going to get even worse before it gets better.

As a whole, the UK is doing well economically, which tends to be the barometer for such things (alongside living standards, which are beginning to decline).

Lib Dems are going to gain a huge surge of votes. If they overtake Clegg's numbers they may just force a coalition.

DUP have twice the number of votes in East Antrim as the next highest party, Ulster Unionist, so I may as well not even bother. I will vote, of course, but I don't expect it to make a blind bit of difference.

Thanks to FPTP my vote in GEs will always be worthless.

Three referendums in a row and history will look back and laugh at us for the results in all three.

Everyone should vote, you're apathetic about your party's chances but not voting just makes you part of the problem.

I'll be voting Conservative in Stoke central, they made big gains in the by-election and I expect that will encourage more local Tories to turn out next time because of that.

My area is 47.9% Labour, Conservatives are 2nd with 18.1%.

I don't think the votes will change much, there's always been a strong Labour presence here.

Thing is, a lot of Brexit voters did so expecting we would negotiate membership of things like the customs union and single market. They just wanted rid of the legislative influence of the EU in non-economic matters (I encountered one person who just wanted out of the European Court of Human Rights, who apparently did not realise the court is not actually part of the EU and is unaffected by the referendum). These people are probably horrified at May going full throttle to appease the hard-liners (actions that make a mockery of her calls for unity), so these people could also be put off extending May's mandate. Having her forced to get cross party-consensus probably suites them just fine.

There is no excuse to simply "Not vote".

People thinking "My vote won't make a difference so I won't bother" is what led to Brexit in the first place, it's also what led to a Trump victory in the US.

Most people won't approach this election on a political, policy-based level and you're insane if you think they will. The newspapers will say, every single day for the next 8 weeks, May looks confident as Corbyn struggles to deny [IRA links / being a communist / suggestions of incompetence / etc], and people will go "Oh, I guess I'll vote for May then."

There is nothing else to it.
