Yep, that's five of us. Rogwilco hasn't confirmed his invite yet but there's no rush, I'll give him a nudge in a couple of days if he still hasn't got round to it.

Looking forward to the competition now. Got a few chieves ready to start us off. :)

Is the cut-off based just on each week's individual score, or the cumulative total to date?

Also, seeing the names Hamm Sandwich, Samoza and Chutney together is going to make me hungry.

It's slightly complicated, but basically they take a snapshot of each players TA score at the start of the week, and one at the end. The end score - the start score = your score for the week.

All players on the teams scores are added up for our overall weekly performance. As long as that score is over the cutoff point, we're safe. Then we start all over again with a new week.

Sorry if that makes it sound more complicated than it actually is!

Righto chaps, the team is all ready now and we're all set. Just waiting for our team to be verified (this is done manually by the guy that runs the competition so it could be any time). I'll redo the OP at some point with all the links to leaderboards and stuff, but for now our team page is here.

https://www.trueachievements.com/contes ... amid=17668

You should also see some stuff appear on your TA homepage at some point, and can follow other teams or individuals if you know anyone else in the contest.

We kick off on Sunday 8th January, so hold a few big achievements back for then! Good luck all. :)

I'd assumed it started on 1st Jan.

Based on last year, what kind of scores will see us through the early stages?

If you aim for about 1000TA each that's normally about enough. Obviously if you can contribute more then great, but don't worry if you have an off week, someone will normally pick up the slack. It's normally pretty easy the first few weeks.

Your completion percentage is pretty impressive, I have a lot of trophies but it's across a lot of games (281) and a lot of them aren't even close to complete.

I have the same kind of thing over on PlayStation. They seem to be a lot harder to obtain than achievements :|

You might have a point there, I finished The Last of Us with only 5 trophies which only accounts for 18%.

Yeh I put in something like 8 hours on that game and never unlocked a single one.

And games I used to play religiously like MAG and Driveclub I hardly put a dent in on the completion percentage. Driveclub was mostly thanks to all the DLC which pretty much tripled the amount of game time

I think some of the rarer trophies I have probably help with the score such as getting the platinum in Puppeteer.

Don't worry man, it's not too difficult the first couple of weeks anyway. I have a few saved up but I've not been holding back a massive pile of points or anything.

Only thing I'm holding off is the last few bits of Contrast. I've basically finished it, but figured I might as well hang on until the weekend so the points get included.

Plus I haven't started Firewatch yet, and I gather that it's a short-ish game.

EDIT: Actually, I bought a bunch of smaller titles in the sale, and I haven't started them. Maybe that's a subconscious decision with this contest in mind. Damn, I swore I wouldn't change my habits for this thing!

Week One complete! I actually got some game time in last week, not sure next week! Are we fussed about the 3.0 bonus? From what I can see it would be nigh on impossible for me unless I just play offline all week except for one or two complex achievements on Killer Instinct that I can rig.

I reached 20,000 achievements today! :toot:

Anyone else reach any good milestones recently? Knocked out any challenging cheeves / trophies?
