Is it just my Xbox being a dick, or do loads of recent games not bother tracking achievement progress?

It depends on the game, some games just don't have tracking included. It's annoying because it must be really easy to implement, and it's so helpful for achievement hunters.

It's really disappointing. It's such a cool feature. And like you said, presumably easy to implement, as the game is already keeping track of the progress.

The latest offender is CoD: WWII. I guess it's more of an issue with multi-platform releases, where they keep everything as similar as possible.

Any folk signing up for the Twelve Days Of Christmas challenge on TrueAchievements or TrueTrophies. Looks like fun and should be a good challenge for everyone to join in on as it includes our PlayStation friends too. :-)

I picked up the Xbox Pass for a £1. I am planning to mine some of the games for achievements. With new games coming to this and EA Access and Games with Gold, cannot see my need to buy another game again!

I'm still saving my free two week pass until they put some easy achievements games in there. They did add the new Sherlock Holmes game this month which piqued my interest, but I'm holding fire so far. Ploughing through my backlog instead.

I got it for the Sherlock Holmes game next month. I am enjoying harvesting the games that I have not played on there. Lots of arcade titles that I usually ignore.

I decided to give it a try after all. Kicking myself though, because I could have the first challenge in the bag if I'd signed up earlier.

:toot:

Normally I can rely on hamm to keep me company during the challenges, but he's been suspiciously quiet just recently. Chuffed that you've decided to play along. :)

I used a Windows Phone game for the first challenge, an old version of Madden for the second and then mined, er, Minecraft for the third. Just starting to look at achievements beginning with N, O, E and L for the fourth now.

I've decided to do Factotum 90 for the first challenge. I'd already got half the achievements, but I've gone back to the start to play it properly, and it's good fun.

I've got a few 3-ratio achievements that shouldn't be too much effort, but I haven't even looked for NOEL ones yet.

Well 5 and 6 are both pretty easy thankfully, should give me a chance to catch up. I've got N and O, didn't realise until too late that they had to be in order so I've wasted an easy L. Ho hum.

That's the first three challenges done. I should be up to date by the end of the weekend.

I can just imagine - Day 12 Challenge - Buy 12 months of Pro membership.

Just about to tackle that one. I've got N. Do I need that to be scanned before I attempt O?

No, as long as they're timestamped (ie connected to Live) you'll be fine.

OK, cheers. Thought that might be the case, but I didn't want to throw away the O I've got ready!

Yeah, I'm glad they haven't gone all out with crazy difficult ones. Although there's still time obviously.

Challenge 7 done. That was fun, busted out some games I haven't played in ages. Didn't want to start a load of new games and knacker my completion percentage. :-)

I was really worried about challenge 8 as I don't play too much co-op, but I've just noticed all the Minecraft achievements are flagged up as co-op so I'll just keep rinsing that. :-)

Sort of back on achievements though not everyday thing, but made Xbox my main platform again (my mind is so fickle)

Game pass kinda helps, it helps me know which games I'd love to keep when still giving games that's suitable for one time experience. My main problem during 360/Xbox one was having lot of games I didn't have desire to go back and play, even though they're fantastic for new experience.
