Decided on the wedding suit. I actually went for a blue three piece suit bespoke suit from a tailor in town. It only cost £330 with all my options. I'm planning on rocking a burnt orange tie with matching socks and pocket square. I've got a tailored white shirt I'll wear too. For footwear I'm thinking brogues.

I got a brown leather jacket from super dry and some hoodies to take advantage of their 3 for 2 promotion and it's strawberry floating brilliant. Ordered myself some jeans and shoes online as well since the shops I went to didn't have my size. Bit of a ballache really but I'm so happy with the jacket I don't mind so much.

200 snoops :dread:. Got a new 27 month interest free credit card so though I'd treat myself for my birthday. Most I've ever spent on a single item of clothing. I'll sort out some pics soon.

Is that the Real Hero one? It's lovely. I really like Superdry stuff but their sizing seems to be way smaller than everyone else and whenever I get jackets they always have to be XL rather than medium.

I found the sizing weird when I was there, almost like there was no major difference between an M and XL. I ended up going for a L since it could fit a hoodie but wasn't too large without one.

Images. I took with and without hoodie.

Guess it's just the way the light hits it, I vacuumed just a few days ago. Feels great under your feet at least.

Aaaaahhhhhhhh.

I was wondering what your were on about, but I'd be dammed if I didn't defend my carpets honour.

Anyway, back to business: great jacket. Never had a leather jacket before and I'm pleased to be surprised by its weight. Didn't realise it would weigh so much.

Just waiting for some shoes (adidas trainers and some brown boots and shoes) to arrive and a few pairs of Levi's jeans.

Shoe care advice. I've got a pair of brown leather shoes and boots. My old shoes went gooseberry fool after a couple of years, really warn down and warped. Is there a way to care for them to prolong their life?

I was thinking more along the lines of a wax/polish/cream type of situation so I can sill use them, but that certainly would maximise their life.

Wear them with tesco carrier bags over them, I dunno. What am I, the answer man?

How much are they worth? Assuming they're decent, then I would:

Buy some new (thick/rigid foam) insoles. This will make them more comfortable and and add a bit of structural rigidity.
Get them re-soled/re-heeled if needed/if you can justify the cost of doing it.
Buy some new laces. This helps improve the appearance of tired shoes no end.
Get yourself a shoe box and start to build up a shoe polishing kit. Get the right coloured polish. You'll need a rag to apply the polish, a brush to shine it, and then a buffer to finish them off - a microfibre cloth is pretty good for this.

Cheers Poser, that's great. I was asking more for my new ones to stop the same problem happening as quickly, but still great to know, thanks.
