I don't get why it is animated. It makes no sense, I think it would better if it wasn't.

Because the original audio wasn't filmed so as it's being shown on television they needed something visual. You can track down the original podcasts easily enough on Itunes, most of that was from The Guide to Comic Relief.

Just listen to the podcasts then. What wouldn't make sense would be to have a black screen for half an hour with people talking (in the context of it as a TV show).

-Where's your brother?
- He died.

Fairly abrupt ending today.

More pointless drivel from Manny.

Excellent.

Tonights episode is material from the Armed Services podcast which I assume most, if not all haven't heard.

Once again there were some great background touches: a picture of The Elephant Man in Karl's bedroom, the show's theme tune being played on an accordion in the German bar. I'm surprised Karl didn't tell the story about his brother having an affair with the sergeant's wife though.

What a terrible timeslot. Should be on at 9:30 on Fridays.

Good first episode.

Ted Danson, stars as Bryan, who stars as Tom Cruise, who stars as Ethan Hunt, in MI8.

3x04- A fairly average ep but there where a few nice scenes:

Susanne with the ashtray.
Bath Orange.
Gervais' slightly racist African accent.
Nautical version of the show's theme tune.

I love the little touches with continuity - the ashtray on the belly and the appearance of Karl's animal in the scene with the slug.

You would have remembered if it was shown 9:30 on Fridays, wouldn't you? Channel 4 should hire me to do these schedules.

To put it on E4 at 11pm on a Tuesday is a ridiculous decision.

EDIT: And it's not of the 360 4OD app either. What's up with that?

Currently watching the first series on DVD. It's hilarious. Karl comes out with some strawberry floating legendary stuff.
