Ah right, thanks.

Ricky Gervais on his blog wrote:We started production on season 3 this week. Don't want to give too much away but we'll really be mixing it up this series to make sure we've used up all the best stuff before we do brand new stuff for season 4.

We're going to use the army podcast and some stuff from interviews which were never released. So there'll be a few bits and pieces that most people have never heard before.

Spoke to Karl today by the way. Again, can't give too much away, but he told me something that he had witnessed that made me laugh so much that my neck hurt. I know that's not saying much when you know how funny I find Karl, but this statement was incredible even for him.

I hope they use material from the Guide to Society, easily one of my favourite podcasts. I think I remember reading that they recorded a podcast just for British troops abroad so I presume that's the army thing he's talking about. If Karl doesn't mention the time his brother stole a tank, I'll be very disappointed.

Just finished watching this week's show (Channel 4/E4 showing)

Karl's vision for the future had me in stitches, as did the Sat Nav bit. And Karl wanting to kick a duck up the arse if it was the end of the world made me cry.

I couldn't breathe for like a minute after hearing that final line for the first time. Utterly amazing.

So I'm listening to some old XFM bits and I'm at the moment Karl's talking about the nicknames his dad's mates had. He mentions 'John the Screw', and the occupation of the man is said to be a cabbie. Fast forward to when it appears on the animated show and it's changed to him getting the name because he owns a DIY shop...

Season 3 news:

The first episode of Season 3 features Karl's second brilliant movie idea, by the way. It may even overshadow the great Clive Warren.

\o/

I celebrated this by listening to one of my favourite pieces of Monkey News.

Well the first season was a disappointment after starting with the second. It's not as well edited and Monkey News isn't funny at all compared to Karl's Diary.

The second season was definitely better but the first season wasn't bad by any means.

Sure Karl's Dairy is very funny but to say Monkey news isn't funny, well, I have seen Cuttooth in a different light

You don't know what's going to happen or where the laughs are going to come from with his Diary. What's funny about Monkey News? It's the most boring, repetitive part of the show.

He gets these gooseberry fool stories off the internet but doesn't bother to tell them any differently to how he read them, so keeps the twist ending in oblivious to how that doesn't work.

It's funny once or twice, or where you have the Astro-chimp story, but it's a pretty terrible segment.

The thing about Monkey News is you know every single time the plot twist is "IT'S A MONKEY!" but the fun is how Karl gets there and Ricky's increasingly angry reaction to the insanity he's being told.

And the idea of monkeys doing human stuff is inherently funny. Try and tell me the image of a monkey fireman doesn't make you laugh.

Speaking of monkey news, i've been looking for somewhere to post this story. I reckon Karl would love it.

He would but no doubt he would interpret the story as the monkeys are stealing the alcohol so they can open their own bar.

I can watch the first series over and over and still laugh. The second series has more laughs, but the first is still fantastic.

Lot of sexual tension in here today.

Just DL'd the entire Podcast/xfm series. So will be listening to them on my drive to Somerset tonight.

I wish there was a version which has edited out Gervais's laugh.

I have no idea what this means. I don't think I've been to your house, maybe I have I have totally forgotten about it. I'm sure I had a nice time, I brought a baked pie, maybe, I don't know. Plus, I don't think Mori has invited me round.

Karl's delivery of that line is just perfect.
