It's a space opera series that's a remake of a 70's? 80's? tv series of the same name. The Earth is being attacked by an alien force and will be destroyed in 1 year. A last ditch attempt to save the planet is made but it will require the last remaining ship, the Yamato, to make a journey across the galaxy and back to save the Earth.

I finished a couple of weeks back as well and it's a pretty good series. I still have a number of problems with it but overall, it's well worth your time.

Went to 1999 to check out some figures, see they have a sale going on, everything that is even remotely good is already sold out. :(

You have to really preorder figures if you want them or get really lucky.

Also check amiami's preowned section, the stuff there is always high quality most of the time as people in this hobby look after their gooseberry fool.

This is a slippery slope, maybe I should just stick with my two Super Sonico figures...

But then again... (NSFW)

But I'd never be able to live down the fact I own something like this. :slol:

Starts really good and than dips half way through the season. It's a good watch though.

Deathnote is on netflix I think or have they removed it?

Still best anime I've ever seen.

I watched the first episode of Sword Art Online, it looked alright, but then I got distracted and started watching the Devil is a Part-Timer, looks pretty funny.

I could never get behind Death Note because they should have caught him when...

They first started following him, how did he manage to buy a mini-TV and then stick it in the bag of chips (crisps for you guys) without anyone noticing if he was under constant surveillance?!

Then after L Dies, they just bring in someone else just like that who happens to be better? Why not just bring him in from the start?!

Edit: Also what's going on with http://crazytje.be/ is it down for everyone or just me? I remember hearing that it might shut down, don't tell me it actually did! :(

I can't believe how slowly the Evangelion manga comes out.

Also, why did nobody tell me there was a kickstarter for a Bubblegum Crisis blu-ray set?!
Now I've had to join the PayPal wait list.

Did the link not work?

This was the figure I was looking at before...

NSFW

Maid Yome (Maid Bride) Yuki 1/7 PVC figure Orchid Seed Japan

The one I linked to from AmiAmi is used, but it's like $70 as opposed to over $100 :x

Started watching GTO, dubbed of course. :dread: err I mean 8-)

It's quite good, although you really notice the quality of animation (or lack there of) at some points, overall it's a very solid series.
