Currently trying to catch up with Negima. Last time I bought the manga it was up to number 11, now it's up to 20 odd! I gotta get reading, but first anyone know the cheapest place to get manga from the net? Amazon marketplace seems the cheapest......

Marketplace is usually the cheapest, with most new imports being around £1.20 (bout £4 with postage). Only problem with these is they usually take 10-15 days to deliver, which I don't feel is worth it when you can spend 50p more and get a UK supplier. Apart from that Amazon itself is sometimes cheap, but it seems they've noticed the demand and both them and Play have recently started selling close to RRP. Apart from that I get my manga from Forbidden Planet, who have a 3 for 2 on all Graphic Novels (Manga count as graphic novels). So you can usually pick up 3 manga for around £12-£14.

Simple reason I didn't mention boxtorrents is that generally you have to browse through their huge directory page by page to find something which is a pain and normally those torrents are included isohunt anyway with additional trackers for more seeders.

Yeah, Tokyotosho has most of them too. If you sign up to Boxtorrents you can do searches.

I noticed in my local is they do a 3 for 2 on Manga which is priced at £6.99. Annoyingly, there's a lot of stuff I want which is priced at £5.99.

Yea my FP used to do 3 for £15 on all Manga priced £6.99. But aparantly it applied to all manga, not just the cheap expensive ones. You may want to check in case thats the case at your local FP.

On topic, since March i've really expanded my manga collection. My current list stands at

Naruto 1-30
Bleach 1-23
One Piece 1-18
Negima 1-18
Love Hina 1-8
D Gray Man 1-10
Death Note 1-13
Claymore 1-12

As you can see I pretty much stick the main stream (what my brother refers to as kiddy) stuff. Negima is by far the best series atm moment closely followed by Naruto and D Gray Man. Love Hina is taking some time to get into, I think it's too realistic for my taste

Anime-wise i'm currently working my way through 360 episodes of One Piece I bought off ebay. Gonna take me a good while to catch up with it I think.

I'll try to ask them next time I'm up there, but the staff there are so gloomy that I wouldn't want to bother them at all.

You should check out Samurai Champloo then, It's basically cowboy bebop with swords.

and we all know the rules: swords>guns ;)

Seen it already. Was okay, I prefer better storylines though and Champloo didn't have that, good action scenes though, and I liked that baseball episode. Wouldn't say its essential viewing.

You're probably best sticking with FMA then, I loved the storyline in that and I'd probably consider it one of, if not my favourate anime that I've seen

Yeah i'm currently watching this via Lovefilm, and although i've had to wait 4 weeks for volume 12 the series just gets better and better for me. Can't wait to watch the last disk and the film now, hopefully i'll be able to watch both before my trial runs out start of september.

Is it possible to buy a complete set of FMA? I don't have space or money for the seperate editions but I might just be able to afforded a discounted boxset.

I'm sure they split it into 2 boxsets at one point, which is probably cheaper than forking out £100+ for all the volumes... like I did.

If you're interested, you should check out the manga. Its went off in a completely different plot direction than the anime and is aparantly still going on. That's my next port of call :)

I might keep an eye out for that. I'm fairly upto date with all my manga (I buy Shonen Jump Magazine to get my montly fix, so don't buy manga usually on release) so wouldn't mind a new manga series.

I've finished watching episode 10 of Naruto. The quality of the episodes isn't that great, but I'm not too bothered.

Currently watching Initial D:First Stage. It's alright, gotta love your cars though as you would imagine.

Darker than Black is probably next on my 'to watch list'.

Cubeamania wrote:I wish I could forget about Death Note so I could rewatch it again totally fresh, its one of the most amazing shows I've ever watched. Hooked from start to finish. I'm hugely into One Piece as well, I just wish it was subtitled faster, I feel like I'm going through withdrawal symptoms sometimes. Really enjoyed Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

Currently downloading Fullmetal Alchemist. Upto episode 9 and enjoying it so far. I tried getting into Cowboy Bebop since everyone seems to love it so much but turns out its not nearly as good as everyone makes it out to be.

This literally sums up everything for me.

Deathnote, is simply amazing. I, like you, was just totally addicted from start til finish, dedicating most nights to just watching it. The storyline was just so fresh and interesting. I just loved the music in it as well, and with the japanese voice acting just made it amazing. Not just one of my favourite anime, but one of my favourite shows ever.

I couldn't get into Cowboy Bebop either, just found it a bit boring unfortunately, shame as I was looking forward to it after the hype on GR.

I'm currently watching 'Welcome to the NHK' which is a 24 part series. It's.....odd...to tell you the truth but very entertaining at the same time...even if it is a bit well..cringeworthy at times.

I'm also reading the Deathnote manga at the moment, the first manga I have ever read as I enjoyed the anime so much.

I've watched the first four episodes of Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto, and I'm liking it.
