I was at one of those weird game stores, the ones that don't sell video games, a few days ago and I saw that they were selling... Love Live trading cards, lol wut. They actually had a few different series, is this a new thing I've never seen it before.

I just finished watching the first episode of the new ToLove Ru Darkness, it was pretty good, but man, so much lens flare, and fog. :x

I might have to wait until the uncensored version comes out.

Read the manga until then, that's what I'm doing.

It's even been coloured. :toot:

First chapter of D.Gray Man in years today. Felt a little bit lost though as it's been years since I last read any of it. Still, glad it's back!

Berserk in a week or so too. Best. July. EVER!

So where are people getting their anime now that Crazy's Manga seems to be dead? I'd really rather download than just read online.

Does anyone here read manga in its native Japanese?

Basically I am approaching the level whereby I can probably start reading graphic novels and the like (though probably still a long while away from full-blown novels or even young stuff).

Whilst not a fan of manga, it does benefit from being a) not something massively dumbed down for five year olds and b) had the illustrations to help. Plus it isn't as heavy or as daunting as picking up a book.

So does anyone have one they would recommend? I am currently studying for the JLPT 3 if anyone knows what that means.

Edit - Same goes for anime actually. Definitely not a fan of this too, but would provide some much needed listening practice.

I do ask that it is written in a way that will be useful to my studies. I have heard some manga/anime is written in a very stylised way, and not how anyone in Japan actually speaks. I would like the language within to be as typical and as normal as possible.

Ive been reading raw manga for a couple of years now and watching anime without subs for even longer. When I get home I can talk to you if you'd like, but im on my phone atm and I find it hard to type.

Didn't realise it had started yet.

Watched the first episode. You weren't kidding about the quality of the animation.

Going to be keeping up with 3 different versions of this series now

My girlfriend has started reading One Punch Man so I guess that means I too will be reading it. Seems pretty good from the little bit I've seen of it.

Absolutely love One Punch Man. Animation is fantastic. Pacing is great. I'm fully to to date with the original webcomic that ONE does and the remade prettier version that Murata does.

Only 12 episodes being done so I imagine they're doing the sensible thing and giving seasons to the show like Attack on Titan does.

Drives me insane that the "show must go on" attitude to Japanese anime. Who wants 46 episodes of One Piece a year when the pacing is one chapter an episode with lousy animation? 23 episodes at a far nicer pace and more money to make the animation better is clearly the better choice.
