I have also binged One Punch Man over the past two days.

strawberry floating amazing stuff. Downloading the Manga just now, but think I'll check out the webcomics as well once I've read it.

This is a sick OP song.

It looks like something I'd definitely like to try, but until it gets an English dub it'll never go beyond the fringes of my radar.

Hopefully Viz will decide to dub it and put it up on Hulu like the sub.

I'm dipping my toes into this thread... just to share that I've started to read Tokyo Ghoul manga. A few years back I read the Deathnote series and hugely enjoyed it, and since then I've been on the lookout for something fresh to get into. Ghoul sounded neat and, although I've only read the first chapter so far, It seems pretty cool. The artwork seems to vary quite a lot in quality even at this early stage but I am keen to read on.

I was into Western comics (Marvel, DC, Image and the like) back in the 90s and it's fun to step into the Japanese style of comics.

If you were into Superhero type stuff then I couldn't recommend My Hero Academia enough. The first two volumes are available now in English (And for as little as £4.74 digitally from the Kindle store) and an anime adaptation was also recently announced.

Thanks for the suggestion, Laga - I just did a search and it looks kinda cool. I think that I'm more into "darker" comics nowdays (back in the 90s I liked stuff like Werewolf by Night, Doctor Strange, Moon Knight, Hellblazer and weirder stuff like Shade the Changing Man. Death Note was totally ace and I'm hoping that Tokyo Ghoul offers a similar vibe.

What nonsense is this? Subbed is the superior way to watch anime. Or any foreign film. Dubbing always looks silly and usually the quality of the voice acting is so bad it's distracting.

Do yourself a favour and go to HorribleSubs and download all 12 episodes in 1080P.

Or at the very least read the redrawn Murata version of the manga. Plenty of English scans about.

Hunter x Hunter is also on Netflix and that's amazing. Made by the same animation studio as One Punch Man.

100% agreed. I don't know why anyone would want to watch anything dubbed -- that goes for any foreign-language media!

Watched the first Broly movie (DBZ movie 8), Broly hates Goku and has overflowing power and ki - that's all.

Tokyo Ghoul and its follow-up Tokyo Ghoul:re are awesome, although you should ignore the anime like the plague. The artwork changes slightly and improves greatly throughout its run and Kaneki has become one of my all-time favourite characters now. It gets darker than Death Note at times, so if you wanted something of a similar vibe then you've picked well.

Like Lagamorph has said, Boku no Hero Academia is a great new series if you like the kind of superheroes you get in western comics.

Also, if you enjoyed Death Note it may be worth checking out the new series by the authors called Platinum End. It's only recently started and is published monthly so there's not much to catch up on but it seems pretty decent so far.

I like paying attention to what's actually happening on screen rather than having to keep my attention focused on the bottom of the screen, then having to re-wind because I missed something happening due to reading a particularly long set of subtitles.

There's only one One Punch Man I need in my life.

After Anung got me into One Punch Man with a marthon viewing session, I have now moved onto battering through Hajime no Ippo. It's incredible, love Ippo the adorable dork.

I hadn't known that there was a follow-up. I have the English (Viz Media) paperback books 1-4; and I believe that the fourth book only came out just before Christmas. I'll keep an eye open for Ghoul:re and Platinum End. Thanks again!

Apparently Saban tried to license Sailor Moon, but decided to Power Rangers it up a bit, but with terrible 90s American animation instead of Japanese footage.

Hajime No Ippo is a great show though I've only seen the newest one.

Rising? Ah man, a lot of the big emotional moments in that, while great, are coming off the back of two full seasons of build up. Hit me extra hard as I had been on such a long journey with those characters (haven't finished Rising yet, about 8 episodes left).

I just started watching Prison school and Shimoneta, wow, I've really missed a lot in the last year. These are both hilarious so far.
