I love that Mariah battle. Avdol and Joseph getting caught in a compromising position was hilarious.

The next one is equally funny iirc.

You're making me want to experience Part III again.

Jojos has honestly gone from "wtf is that" to "HOLY gooseberry fool THIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST THINGS EVER" in my mind.

I always thought it looked really weird and nonsensical, I found the memes funny but I never expected it to be as brilliant as it is.

Something just happened in Stardust Crusaders and I'm hoping to god they somehow take it back. This can't happen. No :(

Vanilla Ice. He Killed Polnareff and Abdul from what I can tell, finishing it tomorrow.

EDIT:

I don't think Polnareff is dead at least purely because Silver Chariot hasn't dual weilded like in the OP yet!

It's been a while since reading or watching Part III, but didn't Silver Chariot dual-wield with Anubis briefly?

Vanilla Ice is probably the character I most hated in the series.

He did, but not with two of silver chariots rapiers like in the OP.

Rather spoilerish below.

I believe that's the only time Silver Chariot dual-wields, sadly. Apparently he was given two of his rapiers in the OP as a nod to that event without it completely spoiling the Anubis encounter.

Nooo, that means he's dead isn't he ;_;

Ok so well over the weekend I finished Stardust Crusaders with my Step Brother and we watched 13 episodes in to part 4.

I like part 4 a lot, but it's going to be very, very difficult to replace the stardust crusaders in cool factor.

Old Man Joseph seems cool still, but it's kinda sad seeing him like this :(

I also like both versions of this OP:

Dragonball Super is pretty good, I remember Z being almost nothing but yelling and powering uo for attacks, but this one is actually moving at a pretty decent pace.

Oh man, Qikz, you're so close to some amazing episodes in Part IV. The core group are probably a little less cool than the Stardust Crusaders, but they get up to some hilarious high-jinks and are equally as badass when the time calls for it.

Did you ever try Dragonball Kai, Rightey? Cut out so much of the powering up filler and reused animation it felt like a different show. I've been enjoying Super, but some of the arcs are painful to watch.

Nope, I've never seen Kai, just Z and Super. I think all the arcs so far are pretty good, although it is a little strange how they keep advancing through different colours. I'm on the Black arc now, and he's just gone Super Sayan Rose.

The only weird arc that I can think of so far, was the one with that magic water, it seemed very weird just to have those two or three episodes there, not really related to anything.

StayDead/others, have you been keeping up with Kemono Friends? The latest episode was genuinely a bit upsetting. :(

If you haven't been watching it you should -- on paper it's a load of total low-budget shite in every respect, but after the second episode you're hooked and it's all bizarrely compelling. Japan is going nuts for it, apparently.

I just watched ghost in the shell for the first time, really enjoyed it but suprised at its length. It felt like a short movie, I thought I would much longer. What should I watch next? The sequel ghost in the shell 2? there's like quite a few spin of tv shows/films. But yea ghost in the shell I give a solid 9/10. Incredible animations and environment backdrops, wow. Watching it made me realise that that metal gear solid and the matrix must have been inspired by this anime in a fairly big way . Not to mention many other films/franchises.

If you like things that inspire other things than look no further than Jojos Bizzare Adventure.

There's pretty much references to it in every anime and game made after it was released pretty much.

I second the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure recommendation. One of the best things about JoJo is when it randomly gets referenced in other Japanese media, even now it always brings a smile to my face.

The general consensus is to watch the second GiTS movie before watching Stand Alone Complex/SAC Second GIG and Solid State Society. Then there's GiTS:ARISE OVA's which add some more to the story but are apparently a feature some inconsistencies. I'm yet to watch the OVA's myself. Akira might be something to consider watching if you haven't seen it yet.

On another note I've been enjoying a couple of the new Shounen Jump series. We Can't Study/Never Learn is rather charming and hasn't gone shit-tier harem like Nisekoi, and as a big fan of Boichi I've found Dr. Stone to be a nice change of pace. Also stumbled upon new Berserk spoilers, so the new chapter wont be far off now.
