I'm not sure if people are still using this but I thought I'd bump it anyway for those interested.

Uncharted 2 is actually £37.85 @ Shopto...not £32.

Someone really needs to go through and update most of that, a lot of them are available cheaper now.

So, the girlfriend is fishing for ideas for what to get moi for Christmas. Trouble is after MW2 there isn't much to look forward to. I did pick a few titles (360) but not sure which to go with:

Left 4 Dead 2
Assassins Creed 2 (Though I did find the first a bit repetitive)
Ghostbusters
Saboteur

Borderlands is really good, but some people will hate it.

An idiot?

I dunno, just some people will likely expect something different from what it delivers. And regardless of how good it is, any FPS with more than thirty hours of shooting is going to get old eventually. I ended up doing it in shorter sessions towards the end.

4 player co-op and levelling up with 100+hrs of gaming sounds way to good to be true.

Not liking Fallout 3 as you did, would you say Borderlands will appeals to those of us who did? Or is it so vastly different that any comparison would be pointless?

Cheers guys. I've just watched a trailer for it, it looks stunning. Love the cell shade style! 8-)

Photey - yes mate, I had the first one, loved it. But I'm a bit concerned the new one may be too samey as the first.

No, it's not really a pointless comparison. Indeed, Borderlands made me want to go back to Fallout. I just found Fallout a real trudge in places, just a little TOO bleak and depressing and unforgiving. This somehow feels a little more lighthearted, even if you do spend the majority of your time killing people and various creatures. Perhaps if Fallout had vehicles to zip around its environment a little quicker, or teleport stations like this does, maybe I would have liked it more.

But they're quite different in other ways. There's no depth to the role-playing here, though the combat isn't as shallow as you might suspect, with some neat tactical options, particularly in co-operative play. But most missions simply involve you going somewhere, killing lots of things (or one big thing), collecting/activating something, and bringing it back/collecting your reward/both.
