First of all, a huuuuuge fan-made mod was released earlier this week, Antibirth.

Five years ago, a young boy took his first trip down into the basement, facing the endless threats below to escape from the murderous delusions of his loving mother. Three years later, he found himself facing the same predicament but with an even greater plague of horrors and peril. Very shortly afterward, a modest few among us decided that even this was not enough. In the two years since then, fate has worked tirelessly to place by far the most fearsome challenge yet in his path. This time, Isaac will face our free and fan-made The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth expansion, Antibirth. So what exactly is in store for him?

As its zealous modding community has proved, it’s only natural that many among us would feel the urge to try to help carry the torch and make it partly our own, but Antibirth was the first and is presently the only Isaac mod to reach deep into the core of Rebirth to enable the depth and scope of a full expansion, aspiring even to the size of the official DLC, Afterbirth. The Binding of Isaac was released on PC in September 2011. It gained a huge following over time, due to its gross, weird style, endless replayability, and cheap price point. It received many patches and a huge DLC pack (The Wrath of the Lamb), but it was never intended to be this way. Originally made in a couple of months to be a free flash game, Edmund McMillan was convinced to put it on Steam, and the rest is history. However, due to the limitations of Flash, numerous bugs and problems are present in the game - even to this day. This reason, along with Edmund wanting to use a new art style, led to the decision of completely remaking the game from the ground up. Welcome to The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.

PRESENT

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is a Legend of Zelda-inspired roguelike based around religious themes and imagery. Edmund himself best sums up the features:

I wanted to make this thread because it's the kind of game that will fly under a lot of radars, and the more people aware of how amazing it is, the better.
