Rebellion is great but the combat was so tedious I almost don't want to play it again. In our later games I realised we were deliberately avoiding any confrontation and it was ruining it a bit. Hope the expansion makes it a good chunk better.

I played an old classic with my 4-year old nephew today - Escape from Atlantis!

A very cool game, but the rules are a bit vague and I had to make a few things up to make the game work better.

There's a 30th anniversary reprint out which is easy to find.

Women are so lovely.

I've heard not so good things about it. And it's by the same people who did Dark Souls, which by all accounts had some pretty big issues. The component and art quality looks strawberry floating gooseberry fool, too.

What exactly have you heard? I liked Dark Souls despite the issues. I am tempted by Resi 2 but money's tight this month and I have a not so great feeling about the game itself. Stretch goals are gooseberry fool too.

Really really enjoyed this. Very much a 'correction' based on 1000s of play thrus rather than entirely fundamental shift.

Liked it lots - fixes a lot of issues with main game. Couple of co fusing cards/interactions but they'll get FAQed fast.

The new missions (for the Rebels) were lore interesting - ended up feeling mission starved as played so many each turn

New combat is better - not sure it's the best thing ever, but improved. Change to defenders advantage is good.

New objectives/missions/dice will take sometime to get used to - there's a lot of shifty actions in there that surprised us. Familiarity will help.

I think RNG is still quite strong in terms of leader/probe/mission draw - hard to avoid though

But very much enjoyed that

:o

Had no idea this was out already!

Been out like a month or so - only just got a game.

Chap and I have been texting about since the weekend - so I think it's clear it got it's hooks into us.

It's expensive for an expansion though. £40 on top of an already expensive base game that due to the time it takes I don't get to play as often as I'd like. But who am I kidding I know I'll get it!

Was it £40? It went on Credit Card when I pre-ordered. That's not really money right?

£31 here (hope they've not dropped price)

https://www.chaoscards.co.uk/board-game ... on-p149234

It's highly priced - for that you get about 30 plastic figues and a lot fo cards (about the same as both mission decks). It doesn't fundementally add to the game, but changes and refines it. I think it's worth it for how much I like the game, but you might open the box and go "Where's the rest?" :P

Successfully finished the first scenario in AH LCG last night. Was playing as Skids O'Toole with his standard deck. Want to keep the other two scenarios a surprise until my wife and I play them together though.

Dracula's Feast arrived today. Absolutely itching to play it. Did anyone else back it on Kickstarter?

Skids :dread:

Well done though

Jenny the socialite will be taking her assistant Minh, bodyguard Mark and...um...personal performer Jazz to Scenario 1 of the PoC tonight.

Very excited
