I'm really tempted but I'm not spending any money on treats until I find a new job :( It does look really interesting but we usually have 6 players on a gaming night anyway so I'm telling myself it probably wouldn't get played much anyway.

I’m getting spammed to death by adverts for it on Facebook but haven’t looked that closely.

Anyone seen the Rambo Board Game that's just gone up on Kickstarter?

It looks bloody awful.

Have to decide on XP upgrades now. Wait a few missions for amazing cleeve (if the Imp player groups up) or take the movement granting "Force Throw" now. Force Throw feels like it could be very important to get to/from objectives - but also AoE damage might batter latter when the Imp is churning out units with glee.

Awful game of D&D last night. It was so loud in the shop that I could just not hear anything the DM was saying. Why we couldn't have played in the back room, which was free, I've no idea.

Almost finished Pandemic Legacy. Met a couple at a house party who were informing us of their "epic" January game and showed us a picture of their board and telling us how different it is to normal Pandemic. I just looked at it and said "Ah, I remember when our board was that young and empty. Enjoy it, they grow up so fast!" just knowing their game hadn't even begun to try them yet.

Just December to go on ours, just need to book our finale in!

We're soon to start April. March was a complete write off. Although both games were lost by a gnat's knacker.

I played through Pandemic Legacy Season 1 with a group of friends and it was very fun. At the end took out the pieces we wanted to keep and gave the board and box a viking funeral.

I really want to start a season 2 group but annoyingly I had to move so I need to find a new group up here. How is season 2 compared to season 1?

You sent it out to sea on a flaming boat? Makes our signing of the board seem lame. Unfortunately I've moved away from my Season 1 group so am unable to play Season 2 at the moment. On the plus side it should be cheaper when I do get around to it. It starts off very different as not all the map is revealed.

Bad word choice on my part. We merely set it on fire. I've still got the One Quiet Night card and my character card somewhere though.

I’m into season 2, just failed badly at February. It is very different to “normal” pandemic. Feels like an inverse version with you trying to keep supply cubes in cities rather than remove virus cubes from them. They have implemented a lot of very cool ideas though that makes it feel like it’s own game rather than a rehash. Completely customisable characters with different portrait pictures, job roles, backgrounds etc. Makes it much more personal. Also there is a random scratch card mechanic when you get scars. You don’t know what will happen until you scratch it off... it also means it’s completely random as to if and when someone could die.

It’s little touches like this that show its a real polished game. But bloody hell is it hard. It’s like the difficulty at end of season 1 has just ratcheted up a notch...

My partner makes me play Monopoly at least once a week, I like the game but you really need more than two people to make it interesting, plus I can’t even remember the last time I won :(

I've ended up backing Nemesis. It just looks too cool to turn down.

That sounds like a fate worse than hell :dread: what did you do to deserve such punishment?

2 Player only games to save you from Monopoly hell:

Patchwork
Odin's Ravens
Codenames Duet

Carcassonne and Ticket to Ride play well with only two players too.
