I've started re-reading the Fellowship of the Ring. I'm only 70 pages in or so but the amount of detail in it is amazing.

At least this thread won't get purged! :D

I'm currently reading volume 2 of The Dark Tower: The Drawing of the Three. So far it's much better than the first. I've not got much left to read of it but once I'm finished I've already got volumes 3 and 4 to keep me going. Waterstone's have finally got a 3 for 2 offer on Stephen King novels.

Just started Ulysses again, but feel I need to put that on pause and re-read the Odyssey, as the recognition of re-enacted scenarios is half the enjoyment.

I was reding the second book in George R. R. Martin's a Song of Fire and Ice series until that got interupted by the new Bond book, which was pretty good. I must get back into reading again soon.

I've gone way back to my love of AD&D and am reading The War of the Spider Queen series. I'm on book 5 of 6 and so far its been great. An 8/10 for me so far. As soon as I finish this set I plan to read the Lord of the Rings Trilogy as I've never got round to reading them.

Apparently Past Caring wanted to do the Currently reading thread. That's different from The book thread which was kept in The Forum.

The Book Thread is The Book Thread is Currently Reading. They're one and the same. The topic thesarge made in OT back on gooseberry fool GR was designed to avoid this eventuality but if you didn't know then I guess that's that.

I'm long overdue looking into some Arthur C. Clarke. I know GR has plenty of sci fi fans, so any suggestions of a good starting place?

Yeah I've read it ages ago but couldn't find the book on my shelf anywhere so started with Fellowship.

You said you like Pratchett's stuff right? Have you read any of the later Discworld novels?

If we're counting graphic novels as books then I think I'll reread Long Halloween when I've finished Devil May Care.
