I added Devlin as a friend from my xbox this morning, so hopefully that covers me for then playing on my pc later.

Downloading the MCC via PC gamepass now. Sent Cheeky an invite. Will make sure it all looks alright before we kick off.

Now then... controller or M+KB for Halo... hmmm....

I also have a few 14 day PC gamepass trials if anyone wants one to join in!

This is usually how I think, but I associate Halo so much with Xbox that it feels odd playing it not on a controller!

Sorry I give up, it's no fun playing in silence. strawberry float knows whats going on with it. It just cuts all chat audio as soon as a match starts.

Shame you couldn't get it working Victor. I've sometime ended up running Discord on my phone so it doesn't have any chance of interfering with what's going on in the game so might be worth trying that as a fall back option next time?

Had a real blast with that, took a level or two to get a feel for the movement and controls again but once it clicked I had a lot of fun!

Would definitely be interested in trying a few more modes out next time - maybe some king of the hill or oddball? Or even CTF if we can get enough players? :toot:

So annoying, I could hear you all fine until it started loading the multiplayer level, then it just cut all audio off except for the game. Alt tabbing to discord and trying to jump start it there did nothing. Shame as I was enjoying playing it, but there's no music and minimal sound effects, so it was mainly silence punctuated with the beeping shield sound.

Great games tonight. It's been so long since I played that I'd forgotten but Halo MP is really fun!

Yeah I can't blame you for going if you couldn't get it working. Discord on your phone is probably the way forward if it keeps playing up.

Yeah I think at some point I set my Xbox app to "appear offline" which is why you couldn't see me to join.
I've rectified that so hopefully it'll be a bit smoother next week.

But the games tonight were great fun once I acclimatised to the game. It's definitely not my preferred type of shooter. It's too slow for that, but taken on it's merits it's still fun.
Next week should be fun too if we dabble in some more of the modes.

Was also great to see Cumberdanes put in an appearance. Hope to get more of the xbox crew on next week.

Indeed. Looking forward to trying some of the other modes. Hopefully we'll get some more players to help flesh out the team based games as well.
