Yeah I posted it a page or so back, but it's a great bundle.

£14.02 will get you:

Ultrakill
Turbo Overkill
Forgive Me Father 2
Deadlink
Prodeus
Quake II Remastered
Postal: Brain Damaged

https://www.humblebundle.com/games/back-with-vengeance-best-boomer-shooters

It's worth it for Quake II alone, never mind Prodeus and Turbo Overkill as well.

So yeah this would be the place to discuss them. Though Prodeus has it's own thread as does Quake II Remastered (See OP).

Turbo Overkill is my favourite of them (After Quake II) but I've not played Deadlink, Postal or Forgive Me Father 2 yet.

Only QII applies to our Multiplayer games. None of the others have DM modes that I am aware of (Though I know Prodeus has Coop).

Was Turbo Overkill the one you were streaming a few weeks back where you were climbing a tower? That was amazing looking.

I've found a VGA cable and a VGA to DVI convertor so I should be able to connect my 360 to my desktop monitor now. Just need to sort out the networking side of things next...

Hoarding for the win! :toot:

Although I just realised I now need to find some appropriate audio cables and speakers as the VGA/DVI solution just gives me a picture and no sound :fp:

I'll be late joining this tonight as apparently I have agreed to take my kids to see Kung Fu Panda 4 at the cinema this evening!

How did it go last night?

I didn't get back early enough to bother joining in the end. Also, PSA: Kung Fu Panda 4 is crap

More like dung poo panta poor amirite.

It was great, helped immensely by having computer controlled bots set to meatspinsim so you could boost your kills by going for them. Helped to keep things closer this time I thought. The controls are shocking bad though, the aiming is utter dogshit. Would be great if somehow the exact same game could be given modern controls and aiming as it would be a great game to carry on playing.

Shooting a tuxedo wearing Peter Molyneux in the face was a highlight.

You really do wind up letting the auto-aim do a lot of the heavy lifting I've found. The controls are just too twitchy to get super-accurate.
But definitely had good fun with this last night. I think the first week suffered from "did we really used to live like this?" but once I got used to the movement again it felt much better.

Halo 2 next week though! Looking forward to that. :D

Halo 2 is the entry from the series that I've played the least of. Wasn't interested in the move to online multiplayer compared to the split screen stuff me and my uni mates spent ages on for Halo 1, and the campaign was a bit gooseberry fool so the single player didn't hold my attention that long either.

Be interesting to see how it holds up now...

I'm looking forward to Halo 2.
I definitely think the multiplayer feels a bit more refined from that point on and it buffs out some of the rough edges from the first game.

That said I'm interested to get back to our usual PC games afterwards.

I think I've decided on what game to play next but I'll need to dig into how it works. :shifty:
