I use one of these beauties

My company bought it just 3 months before Leaf announced a 50MP version... There is no keeping up!

I've got that. Bought it earlier this year and have taken some great shots with it. When I get a bit of spare cash I'm going to upgrade the lens.

Anybody know where I could get a small, decent camera for about £30?

Doesn't have to be too fancy, I'm just looking for something I can easily carry around.

Does this look like a camera thread! :fp:

Actually, a chap on the first page said his little GE one was quite good but that was about £50. IMO You don't get decent for about £30 unfortunately.

I don't have one. I haven't taken a photo of anything in about, ooooooh, 4 years. I used to have practically hundreds, maybe even a thousand, photos & never looked or cared about any of them. I binned the lot.

"And here you are when you were 5 outside..."
"Yeah, absolutely fascinating"

I wouldn't even know what to buy now to be honest. The only photos I have of myself are on my passport & security pass. That's it. As you can tell...I'm about as sentimental as Hitler.

A tenner?!

I could buy 10 from Poundland for that.

I've had an Olumpus Camedia UZ-770 for a few years now:

Has proved to be great. Fantastic lens with a 10x optical zoom. The problem is that it is rather bulky as a result, so is too big to fit in the pocket and too small to be considered a viable replacement for an SLR. It's a few years old now, and being only 4MP it is starting to show its age, though the quality of the pictures is still top notch as long as you don't magnify them too much. I'll be on the look out for a replacement soon though. I was thinking of getting a small compact camera and a digi-SLR or similar.
