That would've been much better than how this sounds.

True that. There's plenty of stuff that can still be done in the Harry Potter universe, even without most of the main characters. She's a fool for not milking that cash cow some more. And also not letting Harry Potter be released on Ebooks. I'll just use this pirated version then, bitch.

This might actually be aimed at the 'adult education' demographic, you never know. With the knowledge of the effect of Harry Potter on childrens' reading habits in the western world, it may be a noble act she's undertaking.

I think she is happy with the amount of milk she has got from the teats. Fair play to her for trying something different - it just sounds like standard fare to be honest.

Damn straight. If only they were legally available in a dedicated store, alongside the audiobooks for the sake of convenience. Something like this would be ideal. ;)

Anyway, I can't say the premise of her new book interests me at all. Fair play to her for trying something completely different though. She's got plenty of money, so it's not like she needs to play it safe and stick to her existing audience.

If by buckled you mean set up a store entirely under her control, then yes. Pottermore's been in the works for some time I believe.

I can't really blame her for doing it, to be honest.

Kindle books really annoy me sometimes. Some of the conversions are really, really poor.

My main gripes are with front covers not being added, and with the Discworld novels, all the footnotes are there twice, so you hit one and it jumps you to the footnote at the end of the chapter, and you hit the link again and it jumps you to the footnote which they've mystifyingly reproduced at the end of the book. Subsequent touches jump you between the two footnotes and unless you left a bookmark where you were reading, it's a right pain in the backside to get back to where you were.

That's the publisher's fault really. It's their job to convert and publish it on Amazon.
