Can't say I'd heard of the band, but a real shame. Suicide is the biggest cause of death in men under 50. :dread: :(

I've listened to The Woodpile so many times this weekend and wishing I listened to more FR in the past. What a cracking talent wasted.

I think the title is fine as it is. While terribly sad for their families and no doubt for many who knew them personally I'm not emotionally connected to any of these celebrities, and I didn't know any of them outside of seeing them on television, hearing their music etc. Certainly not enough to put out heartfelt messages via social media for someone I didn't know on a personal level. Cracks me up when I see complete strangers, ie the general public, on Twitter etc acting like they were a member of the family or something, particularly when the closest they've possibly gotten to these celebrities is in an issue of Heat magazine.

Or maybe I'm just cold hearted.

Maybe we should put the latest casualty in the thread title. Or would that constitute a spoiler?

I guess I could make it more click-baity:

"Another one's gone - you won't believe who it is..."

No i don't think so, I don't feel entirely different to you when it comes to celebrity deaths or people I don't know.

I do maybe find the thread title a little "off point" when we are talking about and old lady dieing of brain cancer or a young man with mental issues killing himself though.

Albear - I've updated the thread title but on all of the posts it hasn't updated the title (the Re: bit), am I doing it wrong?

That's a fair point. Still, this is GRcade so the original thread title shouldn't be taken seriously. Not that you were Al, just generally speaking.

The new title, though.

See now Gemini’s post there has the old topic title in it, but Albear’s before it has the new one. Odd.
