Captain Phillips was fantastic. Really can't remember the last time I watched a poor film that starred Tom Hanks.

Robot Wars was disappointing, so much filler! Should've been half an hour long instead of an hour.

Jonathan Creek was quite good I thought. The mystery itself was weak and it's one of the few I was able to figure out before Creek, but despite that it was enjoyable enough. I think it helps that Renwick didn't direct and if the budget is still half that of the old ones then it didn't show.

I thought JC was pretty so-so but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I might appreciate it a bit more with a second viewing. The mystery was definitely too weak and relied too heavily on the killer's back story.

Looks like Strictly Come Dancing was the winner for Christmas day on individual figures,

Strictly Come Dancing - 7.2 million
Great Christmas Bake Off - 6.3 million
Mrs Browns Boys - 6.13 million
Coronation Street - 6.12 million
Call the midwife - 6.06 million
Eastenders - 5.9 million
Doctor Who - 5.7 million

Britain's biggest benefit scrounger The Queen received 8.1 million viewers, but that was split between BBC and ITV
