Good grief, what a load of shite. TV barely has anything worth watching anyway, let alone the bottom-of-the-barrel stuff and repeats they roll out every Christmas.

You basically have to hope that a decent film gets shown, but that's rare.

British TV really has very few options for TV shows young men would like. That list so far is an absolute stinker.

Home Alone 1 and 2 are on Netflix.

Prince Charles Cinema in central London are showing Die Hard in 70mm film (it's also one of the few cinemas showing the new Tarrantino movie - The Hateful Eight in 70mm as intended) throughout December. Was obviously far too young to see it in cinema when it originally came out, so I'll probably get tickets for that rather than watching it on Christmas Eve.

I just saw this on their website!

Yes, the PCC is screening the original 3 Die Hard films back to back in a marathon session! Get your vest on! We'll give a FREE small popcorn to anyone dressed up as John McClane!

Tickets £20 / £17.50

WARNING: We are NOT showing Die Hard 4.0 or A Good Day To Die Hard as we don't consider them to be proper Die Hard films.

:toot: :toot: (this marathon doesn't seem to be 70mm though) Not only that, Prince Charles have denied they are doing a Die Hard marathon on twitter. Just the first one is being shown so thanks for posting this Grumpy David!

As if there wasn't enough Mrs Brown this Christmas, the BBC have announced they're showing Mrs Brown's Boys D'Movie.

Channel 4 meanwhile will be airing A Good Day to Die Hard & Toy Story of Terror.

The only Good Day to Die Hard is when they are showing Die Hard or Die Hard with a Vengeance.

Seriously though where is Muppets Christmas Carol? I mean I know I can just get it through other means but it should be on TV on Christmas Eve.

It could genuinely have a claim to being one of the worst programmes on TV (and certainly across the BBC), yet people must keep watching it, otherwise the BBC wouldn't push it so incessantly. There's just nothing remotely funny about it. Classic bottom-of-the-barrel shite. Surprised it's not on ITV.

Christmas is saved!

Alan Partridge is hosting TFI Friday at Christmas later this month on December 18.

With special guests James Corden, Sir Tom Jones, Jack Whitehall, Lee Mack, Bryan Adams, Lianne La Havas and Elle King.

Alan said: "'I was honoured to receive the invitation to co-present 'Thank Frig It's Friday'.

The fee being offered was more than generous, and as soon as I received photographic evidence that my dressing room had its own shower, I signed on the dotted line," he added.

"My only slight niggle is that they refused to pay for my transport."

The 90-minute special will air on Friday, December 18 at 7.30pm.

I have nothing against anyone on that list (I like Corden and Whitehall when they're not scripted/trying too hard) it's just a weak line-up. Certain Partridge as a host will just be awkward in practice too
