The Circle is an British reality television show, produced by Studio Lambert, which launched on Channel 4 on 18 September 2018. The show bills itself as a game based around social media, with the concept that "anyone can be anyone in The Circle". It is hosted by Maya Jama and Alice Levine, and has been compared to Big Brother in format.

Anyone watching this? My other half wanted to check it out and I genuinely thought it would be awful, but it's been quite amusing. There's a gay guy pretending to be a straight guy chatting up a girl who's actually a guy.

Yes thought it was quite funny.

Are they allowed to leave their rooms?

They didn't specify, but I assume they're not given free roam of the building.

Freddie making up a dead dog for sympathy was also a highlight.

It's good to have something to fill the Black Mirror niche while we're waiting for a new series

Lol the concept is straight out of a Black Mirror episode.

I was expecting the contestant with the lowest ranking to have to humiliate themselves on camera or something

Bah, they can't leave it there! Please be going to visit Kate, that would be hilarious.

So Alex/Kate won both the house and viewers vote. Not surprised by the viewers vote but very surprised by the house vote, I assume Dan gave Kate 5 stars and everyone else gave low scores. I assume we'll find out at the after show next Tuesday. Really enjoyed it.

Just caught up with the final, really enjoyed the series overall and they definitely picked the right winner. That first meet though, Jesus Christ. :dread:

Loved this show. Quite enthralling. I was supporting Kate all the way through and thought his explanation to Dan at the dinner was poor. I felt about as annoyed as Alex did that he won both of them, I think that getting to the final was his real goal, and winning was a step too far.

Also very odd to see how much Dan and Alex hated being in a tv studio. From the show you would think Dan would be fine with that sort of thing.

Cool, it's an interesting concept and I enjoyed the first season. No doubt by season 4 it'll have run its course, but for now it's still fresh.

Former Big Brother host Emma Willis is to host the second season of Channel 4’s reality series The Circle. She is to replace Alice Levine and Maya Jama for the second run of the format, which is being remade by Netflix in the U.S. and in a number of other territories.

C4 said that the second season will “become more mischievous increasing the gameplay, drama and jeopardy.” In addition to an extended run, it will feature a weekly live episode, that will give viewers at home the chance to influence the narrative via the show’s bespoke app.

The show will return later this year

The old fella looks just like Robin Williams.

The rich twink missed a trick not using the Basil Brush picture as his profile pic.

Yeah I was a bit put off that they've got a "celebrity" aspect to this, seems very unnecessary.
