Airbus will leave the UK if there is no deal.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-44570931

1. They are a European firm so how many of those 14,000 are EU- non UK citizens? quite a few is my guess.

2. they only make wings here, could easily have happened if they discontinued plane models production.

3. I'm sure Boeing and BAE systems are happy/don't care.

What's really screwing the UK over is the EU insistence that we cant sign or announce trade deals with the rest of the world until we officially leave the EU...and that's because...

Announcing and signing trade deals would have the effect of stabilising the economy and make for a smoother transition, which is just what the EU politicians don't want.

It's pure madness...

I'm still waiting for some solid pro-Brexit news. Haven't found any yet.

-

How bout this one. Post Brexit I will live in a functioning democracy again, where I, a taxpayer, will have the right to determine who spends my taxes and how those taxes are spent, instead of having MY money being sent across the channel to faceless, unaccountable bureaucrats I never voted for.

Heard it all before, many companies threaten to leave it we voted out. Did it happen? No. Look, everybody wants to get the best deal. They will always make threats and make it it will affect them - in the hope they are considered favourable in any Brexit deal. If BBC told truth, they would lose readers/viewers, as most of the time the news does not matter as much as they make it out to be.. Games!

These massive companies are the reason British working class voted leave as most take full advantage of mass EU workforce and pay crap wages ,perhaps Airbus is one of the rare well paid jobs, trouble with most of these remain gang they don't care if British citizens gets UK job (your son daughter ) or someone from 20000 miles away in euro zone.

1329.GK
Simple, Jobs or Brexit?

I'll take Brexit. I'd rather eat worms and snails for a living than be a rich slave to the Germans.

'Could.' Airbus 'could' stay in the event of a 'no deal' as well too...
Especially depending on the UK government's policies in the wake of such an event. But, the BBC is now a clickbait site, so it posts alarmist headlines to generate clicks.

Project fear is alive and well. Just as the EU brexit summit is about to take place, Airbus throws a grenade into the mix. No doubt at the behest if its EU masters. Another attempt to undermine the UK as we prepare to regain our independence. Have these people no shame. The views of the 17.4 million people who voted to leave are more important than the biased rhetoric these EU funded companies.

Let the blackmailers leave.

If Barnier forces a hard Brexit HMG should nationalise the strategically important parts of Airbus in the UK like the Wings and the Satellite factories and do business with Boeing, Bombardier, Brazil, China and Russia’s civil aircraft and space companies. The whole of Airbus would go bust within a month without the wings factory, serves the EU right if they want to play dirty.

That was the only reason I posted these today, Brexit is normally too easy to find comments on, but I couldn't let that comment go.

Was watching this Sky News video and seen a comment where someone compared Tommy Robinson to Martin Luther King. Seriously.

Nadiya Hussain on the sugar tax.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-44417509

Nadiya clearly doesn't know what she is talking about. The BBC is obsessed with Nadiya so it can pursue its aggressive diversity agenda. But her skills dont extend to public health or food science so why drag her into a debate she is unqualified to pronounce on and simply serves to discredit her. Stop politicising Nadiya, BBC!

She has an opinion on everything, or is it her Husband telling her to say it?

I love sugar and will continue to buy products with it in.

Nadiya says this, Nadiya say that - I am sick of having this woman thrust in my face by the BBC at every available opportunity. She won GBBO - but so did many others who are just as, if not more, talented and deserve to be given the BBC opportunities that she has been given. At the risk of being accused of being racially prejudiced, would someone at the BBC care to enlighten me as to why!

I agree Nadia it's just tokenism.

What about halal nadya????

Remind me again why should anyone care what she says ?

Is she a world-famous dietician ?
Leader on commerce in the food and drink industry ?
Marketeer, even ?

No. She won an *amateur* cooking programme.

Next, we will have other nobody minor celebrities such as Torstig (sic) and Fielding in our face, or Danny Dyer telling muppet snowflakes how to vote.

Oh, hang on.

I agree with Nadiya, I mean why bother trying to change anything really? Rape victims in Muslim countries are always going to be stoned to death, homosexuals thrown from tall buildings...why bother trying to change things some people might see as bad? I don't think the BBC are relentless enough in their agenda to have Muslims tell us how we should live, they should give this woman her own show.

Hang on. Did this banana split actually put (sic) in their own idiotic comment?
