The US is going to "hand over" the naming system for the internet.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-37114313This is obviously a right wing conspiracy to ensure that racial inequality is further entrenched in British society.
BooHoo diddums.

Handing over DNS?!
US never owned it in the first place.
Furthermore, if memory serves, a British scientist at CERN invented the much touted World Wide Web back in the 1980's.
Here we are, flapping our lips over something we no longer can control. Hackers are everywhere, no surprise, they're code addicts( pun intended).
Good HYS Dave, thanks.

First of all CERN first invented the "internet", not Al Gore or whomever.
Since CERN had no patent policy at the time, US jumped on it & made it its own creation, military applications at first.
US does nothing voluntarily, and no one can control the Net anymore.
Use it as you see fit, but be aware that you are "connected", like it or not.

"concerns over human rights abuses"
Um, pot-kettle-black - seen the layers of censorship we have on our internet access and the amount of tracking that goes on?
Just don't let the 'so-called' BBC get involved with issuing addresses...there'd be so much PC red tape in the way that nothing would ever get done. Have you seen the headlines today? The front page is awash with PC nonsense.
Why is the US giving this up? At least the US govt tried to stop the porn .xxx domain. The rest of the world love it. The hypocrite Middle East uses it the most while denying and decrying it the most. Europe will be its biggest promoter and it will be added to their LGBT promotions. Everyone loves to ridicule the US, but they are still the best of the lot. Not Europe, Russia, China or the rest.
Dear BBC
I don't know anything about this story but you can bet I'll somehow link it to the BBC being "PC". I will also randomly throw in commies and lefties, complain about the TV licence and other things my taxes are being wasted on. Because when you reach the age of 55 and have a lot of pent up resentment inspired by the Sun/Daily Mail there's nothing like HYS
