Subtle. I like it.

I liked that one as well. Although in the new UKIP UK the low paid farming jobs will be done by students.

"America first" for climate change rules in the US: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-39892472

America first on MINDRAPE the uk and us acceptable side of human torture and human exploitation. The shields people put up to console themselves that a psychological planned attack for years from the mind of a American and USA is worse as any pollution.
Would you ask the NHS for help when they shield a Nazi like Mengele experimenter and a Dickensian exploiter of his employees.Mindrapists!

Trump is right. If the environmentalists are right then it's down to over population. Yet, we hear very little about population issues. These greens and environmentalists only want to push a left wing agenda and rub our noses in it. Cut population and you cut emissions to a more sustainable future. There that's solved.

When Price Philip was asked ''what would you like to come back as'' if you believed in reincarnation...

He responded

''As a virulent virus so as to help with over population''
(although in quotes, it might not be quite right)

He went up a notch in my assessment with that one.

He is perhaps a 'real' environmentalist

A kick in the a.s for deluded self-titled climate experts.

@media agenda. Trump is right. Climate change doesn't exist. Trouble is Trumps playing the double bluff. On the one hand he says it doesn't exist. On the other hand he's an elite crony and will eventually back down and say climate change does Exist. Climate change is an earner for the powers that be and don't forget it!

Most of you don't even know why the sky is blue.

Does this mean the US/Mexico wall will have no creeping Virginia nor hanging baskets?

Foxhunting.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2017-39928489

Nicely timed BBC to go with Labour manifesto launch. I'd rather foxes be hunted than having a communist PM and a Marxist chancellor and Diane Abbott running the country any day. Wheres the HYS on Labour Rotherham, or Corbyns IRA past?

Nasty so-called sport.

Nasty party.

Nasty leader.

2 Strawcat. the Tories were the nasty party under Thatcher. As pointed out by Mrs May, the Tories were the nasty party under Thatcher, whose father made her take the long route to school to avoid 'common' children. No wonder she said there was no such thing as society.
I'm voting Tory for the first time -Theresa May is a very different character. Don't like fox hunting though.

Hunting is not something frequently discussed in my local, in fact most people couldn't care less.

Great. An HYS for people who have absolutely zero clue about the way things work in the countryside.

All quite happy to toddle to the supermarket and buy shrink-wrapped packets of flesh to pop in the oven without a single thought about how it actually got there.

Foxes are vermin and will be culled regardless. All Tony Blair did was remove 1000s of livelihoods by restricting the process.

A Tory victory on 8 June will turn clocks back to 1945, foxhunting will return if BBC propaganda actually delivers the landslide victory it promised the Tories.

BBC leaping onto this side show as its a great opportunity to bash the Tories.

Disgusting level of liberal bias BBC

As a farmers son, I have NEVER meet a FARMER who has ANYTHING to do with fox hunting.

In fact, I can only think of two who can actually ride a horse in the first place.

REAL FARMER RID TRACTORS, NOT HORSES.

ANY REAL FARMER with a fox problem,

GETS OUT THE SHOT GUN

A Japanese Princess is going to give up her title to marry a commoner.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-39957217

On a personal level I'm happy for her. But I find the concept of 'love' and 'Japanese' difficult to reconcile.

Nice to see that the Japanese princess decided to marry an indigenous Japanese person rather than a legal/illegal immigrant from a different ethnicity.

Apologies for re-posting, but I am trying to work out what is offensive here as BBC censors seem to have a problem where people may subtly highlight when alien ethnicities who do not belong/fit in/appropriate?

As my earlier comment was (perhaps, understandably) removed, I'd like to say that I find it difficult to read 'nice' stories about Japanese.

Some of us have memories that last longer than 15 minutes, and will never forget what was perpetrated to Allied soldiers.

Forget? Never. Forgive? Never.

Not really a looker, is she? I guess a commoner is all she could get.

she will still be a princess to one she loves go follow your heart u ok hun xxx

The idea that someone could genuinely, bitterly hold crimes that happened in the early 1940s against someone born in 1991 is just astounding.

I agree completely. It reminds me of something that gets my goat, actually: how many people on Twitter/Facebook rail against various things the Daily Mail publish by referring to their short-lived support for Oswald Moseley's Blackshirts in the 30s.

Good article about this: https://www.theguardian.com/media/green ... ald-mosley

Slag off the Mail for how utterly gooseberry fool it is now, but continually referring to the Blackshirts is a pathetic argument to put against it.

The difference is that Japan was an aggressive and nationalistic country and became a decent member of the international community.

Whereas the Daily Mail was an aggressive and nationalistic newspaper and stayed exactly the same.

The Daily Mirror is forgiven for it’s nationalist supporting past as it no longer supports nationalists. The same can’t be said for the Mail.

If Japan had spent the last 70/80 years invading its neighbours and mistreating captured foreign troops, then I would imagine comparisons to its WW2 days would still be justified.

I said the Mirror was forgiven having a nationalist past, I didn’t say it was forgiven for everything.

I wouldn’t wipe your arse with the Mirror, let alone my own.

A Netflix film gets booed at Cannes.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-39972987

The booing had nothing to do with Netflix. It was because the film did not contain any perversion, abhorrent behavior, bizarre dialogue, did not present any dysfunctional relationships as normal, or promote the idea of irreversible, man made global warming (sometimes referred to as climate change during periods of global cooling). Just a nice story about a girl and her pet pig. Not sick enough.

"Dear White People". Netflix is racist.

I don't even know why this Netflix crap is even showing at the most prestigious film festival in the world anyway.

Surely there's Sundance or some hillbilly American festival it can stage-crash. Instead of trying to steal some credibility in a festival where films by real auteurs are shown.

Let me know when Netflix starts producing the works of auteurs the calibre of Von Trier, Pasolini, Godard, Truffaut, Bresson, Demy, Loach, Kieslowski, Noé, Dolan, Zvyagintsev, etc instead of Hollywood guff

You cheapskate phillistine homebodies who've never even see a film that's been nominated for a Palme D'or can keep your Netflix films showcased by PC monitor & served with microwave popcorn

A bunch of pretentious connoisseurs with their heads up their backsides. This isn't exclusively a French or film appreciation thing, you get it in all circles e.g. 'real' ale drinkers, indie video games, real music people baulking at Simon Cowell, foodies etc etc etc. The question is, why is this news?

They should make a movie for Cannes about men wrongly convicted or accused of rape or "historical abuse" where the only evidence is from old "victims" whose stories about their "breast touched" 50 years ago are disputed by everyone, including their own family. It seems the prosecution service is unwilling, or unable, to concentrate on real cases. The Rolf case is staggering.

These luvvy lefties are causing mayhem throughout the world, be it areas of so-called entertainment or politics.

Glad I don't have to watch, listen, or pay for some of their output.

A nastier bunch of clubbies would be hard to find.

Having seen some of the utter guff that gets lauded at Cannes by the uber luvvies and art snobs that litter these places, I actually take their snub as an endorsement of how good Netflix is..

2 hours of a woman gazing longingly from a window while smoking endless cigarettes is not my (nor most people's) idea of entertainment.

You see, the French have low standards.

Like liberals, they bury their heads in the sand and claim they're the best, all the while dictating to others (and they become annoyed.)

Some are just born to undermine themselves, and that is that - there's nothing you can do to help them.

some ppl are just plain rude & obnoxious.

if u don't like something just leave quietly without disturbing others.

it the polite thing to do.

then ask for a refund.

same with the leaders debate - those obnoxious women interrupting other speakers prevents the audience enjoying and getting information.

shame on the bbc's poor comparing - each speaker shud get equal time

Liberal film critics...whatever next.

Go give your country, it's borders, and your freedoms to the Germans - you can cheer them along instead (like in the good old days.)

Oh no, I'm criticising the critics....

...is this allowed?

Yawn - another example of French protectionism. And typifying how in many EU countries like France self interests are paramount but if we try to adopt this approach in the UK we are pilloried as arrogant and selfish. Comes down to the slant of the media really.

Luvvies just protecting luvvies again then. The only surprise is that they didn't blame Trump.

Free breakfasts for schoolkids.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-40032282

I'm all for giving DECENT, HARD WORKING people on low incomes a helping hand.

The real problem here - and it really is a big problem - is that we have allowed a culture of lifelong benefit scrounging and cheating. This invariably goes hand in hand with pig-ignorance, anti-social behaviour, crime.

@356
Nasty party again.....

Why is it nasty? I thought it was the parents responsibility to feed their kids and the state would assist with the most needy! It's about time our younger society started to understand that having children equates to having grown up responsibilities!

Proper people feed their children. Scrotes squander their benefits on the usual stuff - booze, fake tan, scratchcards, food for their dangerous dogs, petrol for their unroadworthy, uninsured Zafiras, etc, etc.

Stop these people breeding; stop giving them benefits and houses; END this cancerous culture.

Whilst we worry about little Johnny and Jane's diet perhaps we should start with more pressing matters.

Like ensuring the streets are not full of foriegn child abusers and terrorists.
Have far have we fallen to allow such weakness in our leaders to just join the fray with "platitudes, tolerance and unity drivel" whilst the next attack is probably already planned.

Nought but cattle!

How did my mother's generation survive? You would be very lucky if you had a new school uniform to wear and no holes in your shoes. Now parents sent little Johnny to school armed with phones, ipads etc but they can't afford to feed them.

Its time that you should have to apply for a licence to have bairns. If you can't afford to feed them or don't feed them then your application should be denied

From my experience most teachers and academics tend to be rather left-wing. Anything they say to under-mine the Government at this time, should be taken with a pinch of salt.

I would like to know what the parents do with the child allowance benefit they receive, surly that should be used to feed their children? Why are they so inept that they allow their children to go hungry? Free school meals should be offered in exchange for the allowance paid, no one should be allowed two bites of the cherries!

When my kids were small, I fed them their breakfast before they went to school. Sometimes they took a packed lunch or they had a school meal (which I paid for). We were ordinary working people. Strange concept to feel responsible enough to put food into the mouths of our own children - maybe I'm just old fashioned? where does parental responsibility end and state responsibility start? or is it me?

Not my kids why the hell should I feed them? If their parents can feed them they should be taken off of them

"Not my children why should I pay for them to eat breakfast! If parents can't afford to feed their kids they should be taken off them and put in the full time care of the authorities which will definitely be cheaper and not paid from my tax!"
