Yes exactly

(but no the malicious manipulation of the AI and asking if they can cope with severe weather)

I'd imagine if the nitwits that infest HYS have thought of it, then the car manufacturers and governments have also considered it.

I don't doubt it

I find the AI questions really interesting though. The ethical considerations are complex and it is still unclear what the solution is - and what behaviour is expected/accepted. Is it okay for the car that you own to choose to kill you in order to save others?

IMO the car should prioritise the life of the driver above all else. I bought the machine, so it should have my back! If that means it has to plough through a field of schoolchildren to save me from being impaled on a tree then so be it. ;)

It should also de-prioritise those who are taking the piss, so if you try to cause an accident by running into the road it will just flatten you. No mercy.

I'd be willing to pay an additional fee if I could programme it to run over specific groups of people automosly while I was at work. Make me feel doubley productive.

What if veering into the tree has only a 10% chance of killing the driver but ploughing into the children has an 90% chance of killing one of them (but 0% chance of the driver coming to harm).

I know you're not being entirely serious but it's more interesting because it's always going to be statistical and not a guaranteed choice to make each time.

Mix up at the Oscars.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-39099454

And still these "celebrities" don't understand that nobody cares about their political opinions.

Why do the chosen few presume their political "views" have any special value or weight?

Why does this industry self-promoting celebrity ego-fest love-in get headlines on BBC? Ah yes I can see parallels now.

Has Donald Trump been blamed yet?

I am disgusted at the underlying racism that was being pushed against white people in this year's Oscars.

The BBC were also persistent in the build-up to push their agendas, involving hashtags such as #OscarsSoWhite, only adding to the threat that there would be uproar if, despite being a better film, a cast of predominantly white actors won.

Positive discrimination is still discrimination.

This was supposed to be memorable as being the Oscars where President Trump was ridiculed ; how ironic that the cultural Marxists blundered so badly .

The arrogant idiots who laugh at Trump
couldnt get done a trivial task of pulling out the right envelope

what a laugh...the same people who ridicule trump cant even open an envelope or read it properly......and ive seen that film moonlight its crap, from start to finish...

What a surprise, was always on the cards after last year's revolt by minority actors

Should have given these disconnect-from-reality virtue signallers blue pacifiers to suck on instead of blue ribbons to wear.

This is what happens when you get a bunch of luvvies running things.
Trump might have a point!

How DARE the BBC open an HYS on a subject which is not solely applicable to me personally. I demand that you open an HYS on immigration forthwith so I can have my daily two-pence worth. Saying that, I'm fairly sure that this envelope mix-up was either the fault of an immigrant, or at the very least a 'snowflake liberal'.
PS Will also accept HYS on global warming.

The problem is that it's just not worth the effort - these people are completely and irredeemably thick; so monumentally stupid that you can't argue with them at all because all logic and reasoning bounces off:

Comments sections are not places of debate or discussion, as seen in this handy chart:

Image

There is absolutely no possibility of anyone changing their mind or being open to new ideas, so any attempt is a complete waste of time and effort and will only lead to you getting annoyed and sinking to their level.

It's also hard to reply to people on comment sections, conversation doesn't really flow like it does on here.

Farage definitely doesn't want a knighthood (honest).

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-39126187

I think Farage is certainly as entitled to a knighthood as various other recent recipients. Unfortunately for him, he is male, has a face of the same colour as the majority of us and has tended to tell the truth rather than some a***-covering lie.

For those that actually follow politics and have done so pre referendum , will recognise, whether they like it or not, that Nigel Farage is the most influential politician of this generation and probably many generations to come.

Well done Nigel, you never gave up, as so many did before you.

Thank you for giving us our freedom.

Hero

Goodness the sheep are bleating bile on here. 1st point Nigel Farage is THE ONLY POLITICAL FIGURE who has told the truth, the blunt truth about the EU for the past 40 years of Federalism sinking this country into a Socialist Dictatorship controlled by the Germans and French. If you do not believe that just remember what they did to David Cameron our Prime Minister of the time. A knighthood 4 NIGEL

Peddling bigotry and hatred?
-

The bigotry and hatred is coming from you remainers who just will not accept democracy.

Feel the force, Luke - its Brexit...

Nigel Farage stepped down from front line UKIP politics after the referendum. He stated that he wanted his life back - in other words to be left alone.

The media and the rest of us should respect that and let him quietly live as plain Mr Farage. When news stories come along which justify UKIP input, the party has a new leader, an MP and officials who can be approached.

Leave Mr Farage alone.

It'll never happen. There's no way Trump will allow a sword to be inserted into his backside to get to Nige's shoulders.

King Nigel Farage gave the UK the first opportunity to vote on 'continued membership' of the EU by spooking Cameron.

He gave the UK public the option.

He didn't force them into EU as previous PMs did.

For all you young liberal remainers, who disagree with all things brexit.....

I would love to witness the expressions on your faces when

1. Buy and afford a home.
2. Find a suitable school for your children
3. Book a doctor's appointment
4. Watch your elderly parents wait six hours in accident and emergency

Some day you will have to grow up and live in the same real world as us !!!

This wouldn't happen to be the same Farage that hasn't been off the TV, Twitter & radio since 'leaving' UKIP because he definitely wants to be left alone in private. The same Farage, who is definitely so anti-establishment that he definitely 100% DOES NOT want a Knighthood.

No, it is the Nigel Farage that 100% did not want a seat in the House of Lords and was absolutely sure that he didn't want to be an ambassador. You know, the same Nigel Farage that went to a public school and worked as an investment banker to show just how much he despises the corrupt, elite establishment.

I was going to make the point that adding animals to that list without context implies that they don't think animals exist but will do soon, then I noticed the end of the bottom line :fp:

Morral | Definition of Morral by Merriam-Webster

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/morral

Define morral: a fiber bag usually used as a food bag for horses : nose bag

I think that word should be deleted from the dictionary. :x
