Eurogamer aren't fans

It is a sound enough arcade racer as it is, and there's every chance that it will eventually flower into a great game. But it is a much smaller, less ambitious and less exciting game than it pretends to be, or than it could have been.

Got it yesterday as it was on sale and I had some Tesco vouchers to make it a modest £20.
So far I'm enjoying it, even if driving a car feels like driving a tank.

One thing that gets on my nerves is that there's no one playing online in the open world, I don't know whether it's my internet or the game.

Someone in the know told me this cost $70 million to make.

Seriously.

It certainly doesn't look or feel like a $70 million game thats for sure.
I still say the original looks better thanks to the Wild Run update.

Let's reawaken this!

The game is just entering it's fifth year and it has been a big success; it's pretty much a "live service" game and from a mediocre start it has developed into a far bigger offering.

It is a part of the new PS Plus Extra/Premium subscription service and, in early July, a free current gen upgrade will launch, offering 60 FPS on Xbox Series X and PS5, alongside handling improvements and new colour grading.
