The Crystal Maze to return to television without David Tennant as host

Damn, if Stephen Merchant hosting wasn't enough to put me off watching, then Rio Ferdinand and Josh Widdicombe sure as strawberry float are. The latter is one of the most annoying people I've seen on TV for years.

I find it so funny that the celebrities you get on these specials are always desperately trying to stay relevant. It's sad really.

They aren't desperately seeking fame, they're either being paid handsomely or doing something fun for charity. People don't seem to grasp just how much money someone like Josh Widdecombe is making. Hes not appearing here there and everywhere in a desperate bid to stay relevant, hes making a big fee everytime he works!

DML is spot on. I think he's about as funny as a gas chamber but whether you like it or not he's not only relevant but making big money.

Stephen merchant is awesome, he's a really funny and likeable guy. Don't know how suited he is to the crystal maze though.

His hbo show hello ladies was brilliant but unfortunately didn't last long.

I like Josh , always thought he was pretty good and appears on a lot of decent shows.

Hey I am going to London this weekend to do the Crystal Maze! TBH I don't remember it that well! Must have been like 5 when I last watched it.
