Is his awkwardness coupled with suit/tie combo at all times genuine or an act?

I'm happy with this. I like Richard Ayoade, and I love The Crystal Maze.

What this doesn't need is Z-list 'celebrities' who either have to constantly play up to the camera, or are dense as strawberry float

I know Stephen Merchant didn't want to do a complete series but he was better than Ayoade.

I liked how useless Louie was :slol:

Ayoade does just play himself, though...

I'm pretty sure he's not like that when the cameras aren't rolling, to be honest.

Yeah that Lydia was useless.

Louis Spence should be shot into the sun. The episode started off horrendously mostly due to his constant "look at me" shite. I Absolutely despise him. As soon as he disappeared it was much better.

Ayoade was fine and I can see him doing much better with real people rather than "celebrities".

Disastrous decision to start with that episode in my opinion, but the majority of the episodes are with civilians.

Louis Spence basically ruined the show. It'll be much better when hes not there.

Yeah it should have been at the end and this just been a normal episode. The obsession with doing celeb shows is ridiculous.

Just watched it, much preferred Richard Ayoade to Stephen Merchant as host, a far better fit. Agree with the sentiments above that Louis Spence was the biggest issue, the other z-listers weren't a lot better either. Will be far better with normal people.

Agree. I can't help think that Mr Spense might actually have some form of mental illness.

Victoria Pattinson seemed to be pretty switched on. Far more than I would expect from someone from Geordie Shore.

Yeah agreed, she was alright, actually. I too liked Ayoade, but he was better when the contestants were giving him something to bounce off. Obviously Spence doesn't provide any material, beyond tearing him to shreds, but it's not that sort of show, so it's no surprise it improved when he wasn't on it.

Also, Alex Brooker is pretty funny, but again, clearly not the right vehicle for him.

Are they going to do episodes without "celebrities"? Switched off the first episode when that bint from Geordie Shore was revealed to be one of the contestants. Episode 2 got turned off when Steve Jones was introduced.

What is this country's strawberry floating obsession with filling every show with alleged celebrities? I really cannot stand it. Just put regular people on.

Only the first four episodes are celebrity ones.

I actually really enjoyed this weeks. Last weeks was anus, but this weeks was alright.

I was disappointed at how many games were repeated in only episode 2

I think this would was ok, would be better without Joey the retard. Plus they really shouldn't be repeating games so soon.
Ayoade is pretty good though I quite like him as crystal dude.
