I'm actually curious over whether this has a following at all on here. Just fantastic every day

'The Daily Show' comes to UK on Comedy Central Extra

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart will air in the UK on Comedy Central Extra from next month.

Following a continued campaign from British fans of the show and comments from recent guest, London mayor Boris Johnson, the show will start on July 23 on Sky 128 and Virgin Media 185 at 10.30pm.

MD of Comedy Central UK Jill Offman said: "I'm delighted to welcome Jon Stewart to his rightful home in the UK.

"The Daily Show is another example of our commitment to provide our viewers with the best content from the UK and US."

She added: "It's a stellar addition to our programming lineup which includes original commissions such as series 2 of Threesome and the recently-announced The Alternative Comedy Experience curated by Stewart Lee, as well as our lineup of US shows like 30 Rock, The Office, South Park and Two and a Half Men with Ashton Kutcher."

Joining Stewart on the show are its regular news correspondents John Oliver, Aasif Mandvi, Kristen Schaal, Jessical Williams, Wyatt Cenac, Jason Jones, Samantha Bee and more.

Monday evenings will host The Global Edition, while Tuesday-Fridays will show the nightly programmes 24 hours after they first air in the US.

It used to be on More4 but other than a highlights show, doesn't appear to be on British TV anymore.

In the past month or so I've gained the habit of watching every new episode when they put it on the website. I don't care much for American politics, making fun of them is like shooting fish in a barrel, but Jon Stewart cracks me up and most of the guests of the show are interesting.

Did anyone see John Oliver's special a few weeks ago, about the US not funding UNESCO anymore because the UN recognizes Palestine? Great satire.

Semi-recently they allowed UK residents to watch whole eps on the show's official website without the need of a modify headers plugin.

They put up every new episode within a few hours of when it airs in the US (11PM eastern time, I think), so from about 6AM UK time. It airs from Monday to Thursday.

Plus when they put the episodes up on their website, they often have extended interviews with the guests that couldn't air due to schedule constraints.

Just checked and it still works, probably the same deal for The Colbert Report as well.

How does that work? I go on the website and it still says "unavailable in Great Britain, use Channel 4" etc.

Are you in Ireland at the moment? That might be it if so. You can always download the modify headers add on if you want to use the official website stream.

Does this modify headers thing work for any website? Like when a channel's website blocks content if you're not browsing from that country because of legal stuff yadda yadda.

I'm in Northern Ireland so I have a UK ISP. Doesn't matter anyway, I get sorted from elsewhere :shifty:

Anyone see the war on women segment the other day? Some morons have spectacularly missed the point:

NSFW maybe.
