He must seriously regret quitting his show at the time he did. Could have at least waited until the end of 2016

You just know what his thinking was when Trump announced he was running :slol: If he for one moment thought Trump would win the GoP nomination, then he'd have happily stayed on for a while yet.

I'm sure he originally wanted to quit because he didn't want to cover another election; it's just unexpectedly ended up being one hell of an election!

They should give that guy a daily programme where he can rant about anything he wants. It'd be a ratings smash!

Watching the election night episode now and it's an actual wake. Roy Wood Jr looks suicidal. :(

-We'll be together! Don't worry about that.
-In hell.

Trevor has the patience of a saint having to deal with a dumb banana split like that.

Millions of people watch her videos. :dread: This is what the Alt-Right actually believe....

Comedy Central Sets ‘Daily Show’ Spinoff Starring Jordan Klepper For 11:30 PM Slot

Comedy Central is sticking to its playbook, once again going with a Daily Show spinoff toplined by one of the program’s correspondents as an 11:30 PM strip. The network has picked up a new late-night talk show headlined by The Daily Show with Trevor Noah‘s Jordan Klepper reprising the persona he developed as a Daily Show correspondent. The new series will debut in the fall, serving as a Daily Show companion Monday – Thursday. The current 11:30 PM slot occupant, @midnight, will move back to its original midnight start time.

There is very little information about the format of the new series, which is still in the beginning stages of development. Per Comedy Central, the show “will look to embrace and define the chaos of our country by channeling Klepper’s steadfast attitude that institutions are to be trusted less than the lies of the mainstream media. He’ll surround himself with a hand-picked team of contributors contractually obligated to reinforce his singularly correct world view.”

The description sounds in the vein of The Colbert Report, which also was built around the strong views of Colbert’s conservative persona and also featured correspondents.

Comedy Central Unveils ‘The President Show’ Weekly Series Starring Anthony Atamanuik As Donald Trump

Created by popular Donald Trump impersonator Anthony Atamanuik and executive produced by Adam Pally (Making History), it will feature Atamanuik hosting as the U.S. President and Peter Grosz as his sidekick, Vice President Mike Pence.

The weekly, topical series will air on Thursdays following The Daily Show with Trevor Noah beginning Thursday, April 27 at 11:30 PM. @midnight, which relocated from midnight to 11:30 PM Monday through Thursday following the cancellation of The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore, will move back to midnight on Thursday while remaining at 11:30 PM Monday – Wednesday.

On The President Show, Trump will be bypassing the crooked media by hosting a late-night show direct from the Oval Office. Joined by sidekick Mike Pence, he will put his unique Trumpian spin on such late-night staples as desk segments, field pieces and guest interviews.

“Laughing at the President is a proud American tradition and we hope not to disappoint anyone in that department,” Atamanuik said. “But our political system is too broken for us to be content joking about one man, even though he is a disastrous silly little toddler boy. Mostly I’d just like to thank Comedy Central for giving us this platform to speak truth to power and if we’re lucky, end up in prison!”

Comedy Central making the most out of this presidency for sure. Trevor Noah's been on a hell of a roll lately as well.

Not sure about that Klepper show. He's best when he's out on the street with a mic interviewing Trump fans. Not sure I want him sat behind a desk for 2 minutes a night.

Trevor's been killing it lately.

I'd love to see his stand-up someday. He works so well off the cuff.

Netflix added his recent stand up special a month or so ago.

Although I like Trevor on the Daily Show, I didn’t think much of his stand up.
