JUst finished it.

That was pretty good. Short but very fun. Probably a 7/10.

Think i preferred the more open feel of the first (whish Starbreze stuck to it and not moved onto their recent project that looks like it could flop) but this was still well done.

People on Amazon are retarded. This is averaging 3+1/2 stars
People are saying it's like other FPS games, complaining about the graphics and that it's not like the first game... :|

Yeah its the best use of cel shading ive ever seen, looks exactly like a comic book

I swear that there are actually moments in this you could capture and people would struggle to tell the difference. Makes games like XIII look utterly amateur.

Anung wrote:Done. Really enjoyed that and it didn't feel too short. If anything it didn't overstay its welcome. I'd rather a game be short and sweet than padded and drawn out for ever. Plus NG+, relics (lol two) and giving this Vendettas co-op stuff a go.

The good:
- Graphics are amazing and probably the best Cel shaded comic book looking game about.
- Game-play was fantastic as well. Darkness 1 had kind of okay game-play but this is amazing, loads of powers, variety and it totally played like Bulletstorm which is a big plus.
- I was worried that it'd be all guns but no character bits so was happy with the amount of storyline that carried over Jenny's dance scene, the characters (butcher  ) and the mental asylum bit were all great
- It actually had a good story.
- The ending I was dissapointed that the first one never brought in the Angelus and Witchblade so I'm happy they've finally brought it in :D
- Darkness 3 needs to happen.
- Excellent voice work from everyone.
- The Darkling
- Jackie's hair looks great and his voice actor is much better.
- It was actually very funny as well :D had me laughing out loud a few time :D

The Bad
- Mike Patton was underused compared to the first one. Not enough character interaction.
- Bosses where a bit unimaginative

Time for me to do a NG+ Don run now :D

Agree with everything here :D

Couldn't agree more, I thought this was a brilliant game.

The bosses were strange though. Weirdly, I found the first boss in the game (The wrecking ball guy) was the most difficult

And yeah, Darkling

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

I advise putting it on the second highest difficulty first. Then playing through again on highest.

Got this in Amazon's ridiculous sale yesterday.

It's got everything I loved about the first game (story, atmosphere) and everything that let it down, mainly the combat, has been hugely improved. Looks strawberry floating great too.

Just watched some videos of this, completely went under my radar, looks fantastic. I should hopefully have my PC built by the end of next week, so will be sure to nab this.

New PC time? Niiiiiice.

Yeah I wasn't particularly interested in it until Giant Bomb did some coverage of the original game and I remembered how much I liked it despite its flaws.

The combat is fantastic now, it's like the potential of the first game properly realised.

Do Amazon do downloaded titles or did you buy a boxed copy?

You have Trackmania 2 too right?

Edit: Just tried the demo on my laptop and it runs smooth as butter, so I ran to amazon to get it in the sale. I thought using the address of an Italian restaurant was quite fitting

Just finished. Felt like the right length, even if it was only 3 or 4 hours. I appreciate that they didn't try to stretch it out with loads of filler.

Loved all the scenes in the hospital.

Yeah, the value proposition at full price isn't good but for that sale price it was well worth it.

Hurr durr LENGTH > QUALITY

BRB guys, just off to go watch a 4 hour movie rather than a 2 hour movie cos it's better value for money.

If there's a reason why games aren't taken seriously as art. It's people like you two.

Can you imagine a movie goer going "Oh well I want to go see Inception, but it's kind of short, so I guess I'll go see this 4 hour Hugh Grant rom com cos it's longer."

No they probably pay about 15 euros including food and drinks.

I think if anyone ever said that about inception they'd get a swift slap.

Us two? what the hell are you talking about  We're both enjoying the game very much.

It's great that the game is of high quality all the way through, and going on that I paid around €12 for it I've no problem with the length. But I would be disapointed had I paid the full €49.99 for it from steam with that length.

Don't go comparing it to a movie because you know damn well that makes no sense.
