Still not as bad the Taylor/Manley World Final from a few years back.

Some fool put £100,000 on Phil Taylor to win the Worlds this year at 1/50

Michael Smith dumped Taylor out in the second round

Phil Taylor going for the fist bump with Anderson & getting totally ignored. Brilliant.

At least this final is delivering the goods though.

Anderson's had about six on floor, never seen anything like that 180 bounce out before.

Anderson winning the 9th 3-2 was just incredible.

Best match since Taylor-Barney :datass:

Chisnall instead of Thornton for the Premier League, not sure if want.

Sorry for the Thread Bump!

Because of various lockdowns I decided to get back into my Darts. Started again regularly back in October/November. Before that I hadn't thrown for about ten years.

I'm slowly increasing my 3 Dart Average to high 60s, so nothing spectacular still.
Here's a screenshot from when I played the computer on the Russ Bray app this morning - no maximums today. Only two so far this year in fact!

We've got a cool dart set up at work too, for lunch time / after work games:

I recently upgraded my old Red Dragon Razor edge darts to these Harrow Swarms too, they're incredibly grippy and you can really feel yourself propelling them with some conviction.

These were my old darts. Red Dragon Razor Edge 20g.

And my new Harrow Swarm 21g:

And I use L-Style rotating stems in medium, with L-Style standard flights. Really good combo. Having the moulded flights at perfect right angles really makes them fly well.

And we splashed out on a fancy number ring for the old board at work. Very flash :toot:

Anyway - darts

I love watching the darts, but I haven't played since I was a kid...where in the pub I kept accidently throwing the darts into the wall. :fp:

I had a soft tip dartboard at home however, which I was rather good at (100+ no problem!), and yet for whatever reason I never made the jump up to the real thing.

Amazing that since this thread was made back in 2011, the BDO is now no more; 'SUPERSTARS' like Taylor, Raymond van Barneveld, John Part...and Nicholson have all retired; the walk on girls have been banned; and Sid Waddell's sadly passed away.

We updated the Work board to a shiny clean looking Blade 5:

And also this week, hit my first ever triple bullseye!
I was dancing around the warehouse, couldn't believe it!
Felt better than hitting a 180!

Nice one. Which dart of those three was the third?

Check out my YouTube channel!
One man should not have this much power in this game. Luckily I'm not an ordinary man.

It was this one:

From the Oche the first two near enough completely blocked the Bull and the 25, so how the strawberry float I managed the third one I'll never know.

Haven't got close to replicating it again unfortunately :slol:

Ted Hankey has been jailed for hankey panky.

Former world dart champion Ted Hankey, 54, dabbed tears away as he was today jailed for two years after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a teenage girl.

The attack occurred in Crewe, Cheshire, on September 10 last year, and the court previously heard that the victim was aged between 16 and 18.

Passing sentence, Judge Steven Everett, Recorder of Chester, said Hankey would have 'denied it to the bitter end' if the attack had not been caught on film.

Judge Everett told him: 'You genuinely believed nobody would believe her, until you were shown the damning evidence.

'The nature of what you did, the fact that you pinned her down, that air of entitlement... You treated her as an object for your own disgusting and deviant sexual desires.

'Your self-pity about the loss of status and ability to earn money - I'm sure you will never play darts again on television.'

The footage was played to the judge after the courtroom had been cleared of public and press.

The darts player, whose nickname is The Count, was the BDO world champion in 2000 and 2009.

Cheshire Police welcomed the two-year jail term. Hankey has also been ordered to sign the Sex Offenders' Register for the next 10 years.

More like The banana split.

Sixteen-year-old Luke Littler now just one set away from the semi finals. Mental.

EDIT: And he’s done it!
