I'm going away for 5 months in the new year. But that was voluntary. I'll have no living costs what so ever and able to save extra so I should be able to put a deposit on a house at the end of it.

Or do lots of travelling and buy a car............

The good thing about travelling, if I got this new job would be I wouldn't be stuck in a hotel or having to travel back and forth every weekend as they own apartments all over the UK which you stay in and if you want to just stay the weekend etc then you can.

Sameish. Don't mind travel within the UK where I can return home the same day but aren't keen on staying overnight overseas. I've even flown out at 4am and returned 10pm to avoid staying away for a full day.

Yes?

I've just been offered a promotion! :toot:

After the car crash of an interview I gave for the last position I went for, this feels much better. Plus it comes with a very nice bump in salary. Even my net salary will now be more than my previous gross salary.

Edit: Congrats to Ad, too. :toot:

2 days left until I leave work and they offered me a zero hours contract for a bit more money. I just said no.

 That must have been tempting.

Just trying to get through these last few days. I got put on a team that does really difficult work the other day. Normally I'd be proud of being entrusted with such tasks, but not in the run up to Christmas. I just want to slack off. :x

4 weeks until I leave, still no hand over stuff sorted.

I've done a few docs for what I do and sent them to my line manager to review, figure if I have done stuff and they don't check it they can bitch I've strawberry floated off leaving them without a clue how stuff works.
