Drank a bottle of prosecco to myself as soon as I got home today to celebrate breaking up for Christmas and moving into a new role in the New Year.

Spoke to my new manager today. She voted for Brexit just for the hell of it, didn't expect it to actually happen, and she's a Tory. I asked a friend who's worked under her what she's like. "She's a strawberry floating twat". Sounds like things are on the up :simper:.

Isn't that something your assistant should be doing for you?

Has anyone lived in a studio flat before?
I'm looking to move to the city centre but most 1 bed apartments are about £800pcm with bills and council tax factored in.
But found some studios for less than £600pcm including bills. But I just find it a bit odd sleeping so close to the kitchen.

I've now got the full Christmas and New year period off for the first time in 10 years. Living the dream.

And N1FFF, in don't think I could do that. Your bed covers would just smell of food all the time.

So I didn't get the job and they won't give me feedback on my interview even though I've asked three now.

Yeah, it's a bit naff to say the least. You won't have much space either, for yourself or if you want to 'entertain' or bring friends round. Best thing for you would be to get a house share. Will be cheaper, you will get more space, you will get meet people/make friends etc. Win-Win

strawberry float em. Don't let them grind you down. Do the bare minimum, don't talk back, don't show your disapproval, and laugh like a loon behind their backs!

Maybe spend less on designer stuff you don't really need and prioritise a comfortable living situation?

Next week is going to be strawberry floating awful - so many car sales in the last week of the year because dealers get tax breaks on flogging the last year's stock by the new year, and we have new years' day off, so it's all gonna pile in on Wednesday. :dread:
