Agreed. When I've had a promotion in the past I've signed something that stated my new title and salary and that my conditions remained unchanged. A contract cannot change without you signing it.

Hmm, my friend thinks they haven't signed any nee contract. They're thinking the best option might be to say they're going for a loan and need a copy. Sound reasonable?

You need it for all sorts of legal/verification reasons, so yes they should get a new contract. It's a legal requirement.

Holy gooseberry fool, (weirdish) guy has been let go from my office due to a 'police issue' from immediate effect. We haven't been given any details, but we've been told (which we've never been told before) to not contact him or reply to him if he tries to contact us.

Apparently he was harassing girls in the office by sending them too many emails.

Well, the police called up and they want nobody to touch his work PC as I think they're coming to take it away.

Looks like I was right then. Always talk to girls, that way you leave no incriminating evidence on your hard drive.

We had an IT guy at our place who was "procuring" items from our company and selling them on Gumtree.

So it turns out the guy was arrested and charged 3 years ago for having indecent images of children in his possession.

My boss received an email at the weekend from two kids telling him about the guy, so I guess that nothing was ever said during the interview and he quizzed him if the stories were true and he said yes, to which he was immediately fired.

Wait so he was fired for something that happened years ago? But then why did the police call up your office?
