Is there something different about the individual releases? If not, buying them separately just seems silly.

Much better than the standard sleeve.

Don't. The film is absolute gooseberry fool. Every bit of humour relies on nothing but swearing. I think I laughed maybe twice through the whole thing.

Anyone who declares this "The new Shaun of the Dead" is obviously mentally handicapped.

It's also kind of hard to want to empathise with your main characters when they start the film by mugging an innocent nurse and just generally being twats.

I wouldn't say it's completely shite but it's no-where near as good as the Americans said it was. It's a pity as the monster design and execution is pretty cool. I remember thinking after coming out of the cinema that I'd love to have seen the same monsters again but in a totally different movie against a set of less annoying characters.

I didn't find them that annoying.

I really rather liked the film, just because the main character was basically a criminal, doesn't mean the film is bad. You don't have to think everything they did was ok in order to like the characters.

Well it's an action film, not a comedy film. I quite enjoyed it anyway.

And yet it always seems to get advertised as a comedy as well as action film, a fact which is funnier than most of the films jokes

You're right, I don't have to like the characters to enjoy a film but when they're not that interesting to watch and spend time with in that particular world then it kinda sucks (in my opinion). The characters in Raging Bull, There Will Be Blood, A Clockwork Orange are despicable people but my god are they fascinating. Combine that with a rich world and story then wham, you have my undivided attention. Unfortunately this doesn't really have any of that but I suppose it's unfair to make such comparisons as it's just Joe Cornish making a low budget, fun but flawed, genre blending film. Kudos to the him for making it but for me by trying to make an action/comedy/drama/sci-fi/horror film, it just ends up feeling rather thin and unfulfilling in each department.

The film wasn't a total disaster like I said before just not quite as good as I wanted it to be as Joe Cornish is one of my favourite people working in media today.

Has anyone bought Once Upon A Time In The West on blu ray?

Just wondering if it's worth shelling out for when the two disk special edition is £5 on DVD.
