Both Alien and Aliens look stunning on Blu-ray, they look like they were filmed yesterday. The sharpness, colour, black levels and details are second to none, there's also no specs on the film.

Its cheaper to just buy the boxset though unless they added new features to these single releases?
Also Aliens Resurrection is pretty funny because its soo bad LOL I actually enjoy watching it because of this.

I'd buy the box-set if each film came in its own case to put in my rack. Star Wars is just as bad.

Why can't they all be like The Matrix Trilogy box set?

anyone seen the older star trek films on blu ray? I just ordered First Contact but the 3.5/5 video rating from blu-ray.com doesn't give me much confidence :/

Wait... there are three Lion king films?!

I didn't even know there had been a sequel. Every day's a school day.

The sequel is your normal straight to DVD fair, better animated then a lot of the 'Disney' sequels - but not all that memorable - but decent enough. It follows on into Simba's reign as King.

The third film is really cool though - its like a sideways glance at the original film through the eyes of Timon and Pumbaa. Its really quite well done, and takes the piss out of itself and the original movie.

There are other limited editions, but not like that one and not as nice. The US one has more content but apparently the packaging is a real dog.

I saw the US version and it doesn't even have boxes for each film its awful. But it does contain more discs like 3D versions and DVD copies etc.

I heard someone say on hotukdeals that there are 45000 of these wooden boxes in other european countries and i just found this on amazon.de

I had seen the German one, they have the Blu Rays in seperate boxes, but they are apparently not limited edition in the same way. I'm very happy with my purchase anyway. Now I just need a blu-ray player... :shifty:
