I know...I'm sorry.

I'm just..in shock that MCN and OTS are the two most knowledgable people in the world who I have ever had the fortune to see in action.

...and the fact they both entered this competition is..well...just incredible

Well technically if you go east from New England the first U.S. state you encounter are the Aleutan islands or whatever they're called, which are part of Alaska, slightly before the Hawaii.
But you are also trespassing the Dateline so it's not 100% correct.

I'm a font of absolutely useless information. People who have to work with me tell me so all the time.

It's alright, there's one guy in the office who is as much of an utter spod as I am. We just sit and talk about the history of the british car industry for hours.

Before moving onto the 100 year war, Panama hat manufacturing, Russian celebrations, old warships and the material they used, birds (exinct), shaving appratus and their materials used, English History, birds (non extinct), Countries and their origins, 30 year war, African Wildlife, American Generals, fibrouse materials and from whence they originate, and American Geography.

You stay well away from any discussion regarding the confederate rose though I bet.

Dude, come on...

I knew of the USS Constitution due to having spent some time comparing the naming of Star Trek vessels to real-life Navy vessels. I remember my grandad once having a camel hair brush and telling me about them when I was a kid (he was a wise old soul). English history is something everyone should have at least a passing knowledge of, and the Grant tomb was pretty much obvious - how many people important enough to have a famous tomb were called Grant? I remember the white rhino thing from a National Geographic documentary. I knew the Panama hat question from a previous pub quiz I had done. I have a book about birds in the living room. Only yesterday I was showing my cousin's son the pictures in it. Finally, the American Geography thing came about from staying up to watch the US Election results come in.

It's not the fact he cheated that makes me laugh, it's the extent he's gone to in explaining how he 'knew' the answers.
