The special edition worth playing if one isn't bothering using mods? (when I tried to use mods on Fallout NV, the game just broke. Also I have no clue and followed a guide for some stuff and yep, nothing.)

I will feast on your soul!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn I got the quote wrong it was, I WILL FEAST ON YOUR HEART!!!!!!!!!!.

Those guys are the greatest things in games history though.

These guys could be given cabinet positions in the government of Sauron though as that would be pretty epic.

God love em.

Always enjoyed when they'd chase after someone as they were running away.

Reinstalled the original version the other day actually. Gonna mod the gooseberry fool out of it and get it looking as lovely as my hardware will allow.

As far as I can tell I've finished just about every quest there is in the main game and learned all 3 words of every shout. The only things I might do before moving on to Dawnguard are the treasure maps and maybe smithing a suit of Daedric armour... anybody know any good sources of Daedra hearts?

Ok, so I decided to do mods on the OG Skyrim, but now I can't move, could it be a mod ordering problem?

There is a piece of software called BOSS that will do the ordering for you.

What Falsey said. There's a program called LOOT that does the same thing.

Could be the order you installed them as well. I'll send you a link later to the guide I'm working my way through which recommends mods, and the order you should install them.

LOOT is BOSS, I think they renamed it so it wasnt so anachronistic. :)

Cool, I'll have a look when your done.

I'm thinking of playing it soon, just because I never finished it in 360 and have been watching someone play it out twitch and it's really made me want to play it.

Very possibly yeah. Hard to keep track.

Slowly working my way through this list I have. Not seen much in the way of changes yet, but still very early.

I'm really enjoying this again. Runs so much better on my PC than vanilla and with mods it feels incredibly different. Last game I was a 'good' guy this time I'm doing thieves guild and want to do Dark Brotherhood gooseberry fool as well. Gon be gooood.

Looking for a follower who gets out of your way if he's in a doorway?

Looking for a well-written, fully voiced follower who interacts with others and comments on pretty much everything?

Looking for a Khajiit who loves to sing?

You need Inigo.

There's a really long quest tied to the Thieves Guild that pretty much breaks the game since you end up with far more valuables than you can ever sell and far more money than you can ever spend.

I don't think good and bad are as clearly defined here as they are in say Mass Effect, Fallout 3 or even Oblivion. At least in Oblivion it was you vs Mehrunes Dagon but here there are no real good or bad choices to be made and despite obviously questionable actions I wouldn't say either the Thieves Guild or even the Dark brotherhood were inherently evil.

Lydia never even made it past through the trip to Ivarstead and High Hrothgar this time around. Stone dead already. So I went all Pet Cemetary on her, brought her back and listened to her growl before she turned to ash.

Just doing some sidequests after coming back down from the Greybeards. Messing about in some barrows. Forgot how much I enjoy this game.

Gonna add in a few more mods tonight. Looks alright, but need to add in some weather effects and an ENB I think.

I've technically never had a follower die in this apart from the one I sacrificed during Boethiah's quest although I did have to turn Lydia into a vampire during Dawnguard because I'm married to her so I guess she's dead after all.

First time I played I didn't actually take her with me until a decent chunk of the way into the game, so I was already a far more capable character and she didn't die as easily. She just gets in the way though. I need space for my Atronachs right now.
