Bleak Falls Barrow in VR was something else. I'm sure I felt vertigo climbing up the steps to the main door.

So this is how I played through that quest area. It is sad to say but I think I get a bit too into the world.

So, switched to move controllers/teleport. Just played for 30 mins, no motion sickness at all! Result!

My only issue is the controls/menu access, at least you can hold up the controller and 'see' the buttons and their placing. And I keep using the wrong controller to turn left/right, unsheathing my sword each time... I'm sure I will come a cropper with that and kill something/someone I shouldn't!

Edit: Great video! I am looking forward/not looking forward to running into stuff like that! :D

Once you get used to them you'll not need to look at them as much/ever.

Loved Roons video. I also got in a fight with the people in the shop as well. I also accidentaly hit them, though in my case I was making an obscene gesture in the ladies face and it registered a punch. Probably deserved it. :slol:

Cheeky! :fp:

It has taken a few hours but I have pretty much got the controls down now. At one point the Moves glitched and weren't visible in game and I couldn't live with that. I do need the visual reminder which button is which in the map screen, for example.

As for the VR scares, I compare it to when I'm snorkeling. I'm okay at breathing underwater as long as I keep reminding myself I have a snorkel on. Once I forget and my brain goes "you can't breathe underwater" I freak out. Except instead of breathing underwater, its a giant spider/cat/dog charging at me.

Glad you enjoyed the video. Made another two from my gameplay and will probably leave it there:

Ended up impulse buying the Switch version for reasons I can't figure out.
Will probably end up getting the VR version as well when it comes to PC and I get a Vive.

Is the dragon attack the first time you go to Riften scripted? Can't if that happened the first time I played it on PC years ago. Walked in to the town just as one was flying over and what seemed like every guard there just absolutely battered it and it was dead within about 30 seconds

Also had another funny encounter where I fast travelled and there was a Giant fighting one so I just stood back and let him take care of it.

Really is the random encounters that make this game. I had a similar instance, was struggling to kill an ice dragon, it landed on ground behind trees and it started losing heath rapidly.

It had attacked a giant and said giant beat the gooseberry fool out of it in about 10 seconds. I'll take yer bones Mr Dragon 8-)

On that note - I take it you should plant all your bones/scales in your house to make armour later or such like later on? May have used that exploit/trick to get the house in Whiterun for nout :shifty:

Everytime I load this game up, I just forget how realistic it is and I just stand there and gawp at it.

In other news, I am sadden to report that Sven is dead :(

Justicars. May have gone on a Anakin-style rampage at the nearest bandit camp when it happened.

I hope you followed my lead and did the right thing to honour his sacrifice:

Took all his gear
Dragged him to the river
Set him on his way to Valhalla

Sovngarde surely?

Despite putting over 200 hours into Skyrim I've never really bothered with Followers - Lydia seemed a bit annoying so I just dumped her to roam the land solo! Other than being an extra pair of hands for carrying loot do they offer much?

No he secretly confided in me that he only believed in Norse mythology. We were very close.

No, I didn't do that but kind of wish I had now. :(

Such a good send off. Wonder if he will still be there if I reload. Its a fair trek to the nearest river though.

Come on, stop it. If people don't stop rebuying Skyrim, Bethesda are never going to make TES VI.

I can't help myself. The appeal of playing Skyrim while having a gooseberry fool was too great.

In the VR version, if you could get the PS4 close enough you could potentially take a gooseberry fool IN Skyrim.

Pretty sure the answer is no, but is there any possible way to alter/remove encumbrance in the Switch version?
