I played through all of Dawnguard with Serana who was pretty useful apart from when she kept stealing my kills while trying to get level up the vampire lord skill tree. Now I've started Dragonborn I quite like Frea but she takes a little convincing to join you. Usually I don't bother with followers since as you say they just get in the way most of the time and they're clumsy as strawberry float always setting off the traps I carefully avoided.

Never bother with followers.

Been enjoying playing this though, doing the Dark Brotherhood stuff at the moment. Sneaking up on gooseberry fool to moider is great fun. Though taking things on directly when you've put all your stats into sneak is strawberry floating hard.

I'm the exact opposite the opposite, I find Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood missions really hard as I've put the bulk of my perk points into one handed, block, heavy armour and smithing although I have respecced a few things, I did have sneak at 100 at one point but had none of the perks unlocked.

Managed to kill Karstaag tonight after him killing me almost instantly yesterday. A couple of level ups plus the right strategy and enchantments did the trick.

I also encountered what I think was my first Legendary Dragon only for it to breathe a bit of fire then run (well fly actually) away as soon as I hit it with Dragonrend the coward.

Had an epic running battle with my second Dragon last night. Basically got chased down a mountain by it on my way to Ustengrav. Sprinted through some trees and eventually stood my ground on a Bridge over a stream. Got into a good rythme of heal, bow, shout with my Flame Atronach providing some additional damage. :datass:

I also ran into Krosis. I forgot about that prick.
Far too low level to beat him easily at this point so had to reload and skirt past him. I know where he is now though and I'll be back to stick a Dremora Lord or two up his arse.

I also became the leader of a tribe of Rieklings last night. I read this morning that there is an another way of resolving the situation but I think this was a pretty amusing outcome.

I thought Karstaag was a challenge until I met the Ebony Warrior. I hate to admit it but I cheesed the fight by Fusrodahing him off the mountain and twatting him as he was getting up for an almost instant kill.

I don't feel too bad however as he killed me by almost the same method three times before I gave up playing by the rules. As Jesse Ventura once said "Win if you can, lose if you must but always cheat".

I've never played an Elder Scrolls game before but reading everyone's experiences makes me want to give Skyrim a try! I might wait until the Switch version comes out as I really like the off-tv play feature as the TV in my house is hardly ever free

Having Skyrim on the go would be pretty great as you can save anywhere so it's good as a pick up and go game.
I could see this getting people through many a dull commute.

Flights to the states would be quite fun running around in Skyrim.

Skyrim is probably the most accessible of the series so I'd recommend giving it a go. I started with Oblivion which despite finishing I found had a bit of a steep difficulty curve and when I tried Morrowind after Oblivion I found the lack of quest markers and the difficulty a bit of a pain and just couldn't get into it.

Grabbed this in the Black Friday sales.

I've only done the intial "escape the dragon" bit but have a question for when I get out into the big wide world - how do I start the house-building DLC? Want to get my digs set up early doors.

Praise Talos, it's good to be back in Tamriel

Ah ok, guess I'll have to put that one on the back burner for the time being then :slol:

Sat at work listening to the soundtrack and I just want to be at home glued to the TV :x

If you want lots of money start the Thieves Guild quests and do the quest No Stone Unturned, it's a pretty long quest and you'll likely need to look up the locations needed but it gives you access to almost limitless funds.

Spent last night adding loads of the special edition mods from nexus. Not sure if I've got the enb working fully, but it now looks amazing - better than I ever got it looking on vanilla!

This is an Imperial game, for Imperial people. We'll have no Talos worship here!.
