Kind of feels like what you always hoped for when you were younger doesn't it?

I hope the magic never wears off.

What's the situation with Mods on the Switch version anyway?

Does anyone else think Skyrim (Switch) seems to hammer the battery more than normal? Don't get me wrong, it's not going flat in 30 mins or anything, but it seems like it drains the battery more than other games.

Zelda was about 3 hours battery life, wasn't it? Is Skyrim worse than that?

Don't think there's going to be any mod support...

Put in another hour or so today with VR and completed Bleak Falls Barrow, so still very early on.

It's made me appreciate just how vertical a lot of Skyrim is. So many high vantage points where I've just stopped for a moment and taken in the view. It's utterly breathtaking in places, even with the graphical hit that it's taken.

Even in towns I've stopped to just look at the detail. I spent a good two minutes examining the sign outside the shop in Riverwood, moving the torch around to see how the lighting affected it. Fantastic stuff.

PC owners will be in for a treat, especially if it supports mods. If they can get some of the graphical ENB mods working, along with various lighting tweaks it's going to be something very, very special. Torches for example are great already, but with some of the mods that make them pretty-much a necessity it'll be game changingly immersive.

If I ever get a PC VR set up and a PC capable of dealing with it I'll definitely be double-dipping on this.

I've also gotten the hang of the Move Controllers a bit more so I'm loving them. Bow's are ridiculously good fun.

A shame, but I suppose the lower power of the Switch makes it kind of understandable.

I pre ordered this a while ago on the switch. Amazon have strawberry floated Up my order. Said a while back it would be delivered on Friday. Wednesday this week it changed the status to say delivery date pending. I’ve been on to about three different customer service reps to see what’s happening and they’re not giving me anything coherent. They’re also pretty much suggesting I’m lying about the original delivery date. I’m raging.

I’ve put in a complaint (on Thursday afternoon), which said they aim to get back within six hours. I’ve yet to hear back.

I would order elsewhere, but I had vouchers to use.

Any idea how I can get some clarity or get it sorted?

I'm in the same boat. At 5.30pm on Fri it said it would be back in stock on Sat. But still shows as only available from other sellers

Update: Amazon emailed me to apologise and have credited £5 to my account. :toot:
Still no sign of the game being despatched though

About 4 hours in on PSVR (just been to see the Graybeard's), its got its issues, graphically it looks a bit shoddy, the animation is terrible and the in game speech options sometime appear in people, but the sense of scale is pretty damn awesome. Its not just the mountains either, some of the doors you go through that are supposed to be intimidatingly large actually feel like it now.

Definitely enjoying it, playing with a controller by the way, sticking with snap turning but got rid of the FOV reduction on turning and sprinting.

Really? No such luck for me. I’ve cancelled my order now. They’re useless. They’ve moved away from getting stuff to you on launch day most of the time as we well, think I’ll stop using them where possible.

It feels worse than BOTW. It isn't game breaking or a massive issue by any stretch, but I swear I went through half the battery charge in an hour!

I think you're right, I played it handheld for under an hour and happened to notice battery had dropped to 70% when putting it back.

Realising how little I actually played on 360, thought it was much more. Up to where I originally got to already..The Throat of the World :slol: Yeah, so not far.

Found this battery life chart, looks like it ranges from roughly 2.5 hours to 3 hours depending on brightness and wifi settings:

So Skyrim charted 19th and 26th for PSVR and Switch respectively in the weekly multi-format sales.

Can't wait to get back to it tonight. Gonna start the companions questline (If I can stop it glitching) and potter about in Whiterun before I begin the journey to the Greybeards.

Been reworking my PC setup over the weekend so I might be able to stream it as well. I'll post if I do.

Are the glitches and bugs more immersive in VR Cheeky?

When you say the graphics are shoddy, how bad are we talking here? PS3-level Skyrim?
