I like the bit where they put 'Daily Mail COMMENT', just in case you hadn't realised that this is a comment from the Daily Mail.

I love that National front page

The comments on the daily mail article though

You can call the likes of Grieve etc ¿rebels¿, I and millions others will call them traitorous rats, who are attempting to frustrate the will of the majority of people.

I hope Soubry reads these comments. I am offended by saying we did not know what we voted for., i did and would love to discuss it with her face to face.

Dominic grieve, appears to be putting his own jnterests above his constituents who voted to leave the EU. I sincerely hope he is de selected in the next elections.

Actually his constituents voted to remain overall.

This is great news for Brexit, they wouldn't want a vote unless they plan to vote against the final deal..... so Hard Brexit and WTO, no money for Brussels, here we come!

Talking of the Daily Moan, Paul Dacre's salary has now hit £2.5m (£1.45m salary; £856,000 investment plan; £68,000 in taxable benefits, which includes a company car valued at £38,000 and petrol). Yet another man of the people.

If parliament can't agree that a deal is good then it should cancel brexit, it shouldn't be a choice of something gooseberry fool or death that's strawberry floating ridiculous.

It should be deal or not leave it is the only way where it has the option to avoid disaster not force them to take a gooseberry fool deal just because sit is better than nothing.

Cancelling it would be sensible and so I guarantee it won’t happen.

Today's a big step in that direction though.

Indeed it is a sign that maybe, just maybe, sense will prevail over blind idiotic nationalism and racism

Mistletooth wrote:This is I think the crucial point though. The Brexit process has absolutely wrecked the UK's standing in Europe, unnecessarily so! The EU would probably like to see the back of a country that has historically been quite obstructive to its aims right now, and I don't think it's going to be such a surefire victory if revoking Article 50 ended up at the European Court of Justice.

I am not of the opinion that the UK will try and revoke it, but I think it would be reasonably easy to revoke if we did decide to. If the EU decided to fight it (I don’t think they would) and it ended up at the European Court of Justice then the ECJ wouldn’t be looking at how obstructive the UK was or anything like that. The ECJ would simply look at what the rules, regulations and law says. And there is nothing there to stop a country revoking Article 50.

Again it is not going to happen. The right wing media is against it, the government are against it and not enough Leavers have changed their minds to have any impact on what the government does.

I like Soubry. It's just a shame she's a Tory.

That’s unfair. He’s only been an MEP for 18 years and flown around the world speaking at far right rallies in Germany and supporting child molesters in Alabama. That’s hardly a career politician. :slol:

Well with the amount of work he's done in that time he's practically unemployed.

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

Eugh. They have zero self awareness or they just don't give a gooseberry fool. The more people that drop selling this paper, the better.

please don't link to an actual daily mail article here. I don't want to be part of somewhere that gives their shitrag views of any kind.

Ignoring it doesn't help. It's a monumentally influential paper right now, whether you like it or not.

What a temperate and carefully-reasoned metaphor that will surely get better and better with time. Another brilliant intervention from renowned thinker, Quentin Letts!

To be fair, a hunger strike would probably do Boris some good.
