That was the worst speech ever. She doesn't believe any of her own words. What a strawberry floating mess.

What a clusterfuck. The EU need to screw us to the floor to set an example of just how badly we strawberry floated things up for ourselves. Jesus Christ.

Pound soaring against the dollar, probably because the situation is now "We're definitely strawberry floated" rather than "We might be strawberry floated"

Soaring? It's only "soaring", because it's so low that it can't possibly go any lower without a complete crash.

I can't wait for the flip-flop from those that have spent the last few months telling us how it's great for Britain to have a lower value pound. ;)

She's a banana split. What a load of bollocks this line was - "the strength and support of 65 million people willing us to make it happen. Because after all the division and discord, the country is coming together."

How do you know that? How the strawberry float do you know that? Oh you just lied. You putrid strawberry floating bitch.

Those people also ignore that it was 1.5 last July before the stupid vote.

Complete and utter idiots. I wish we could split the country in half, put all the leavers on one side and all the remainers on the other. Let the leavers leave and leave the remainers in the single market. :(

I was quite happy with that speech. Bet that whiny little bitch Tim Farron tries to get all 8 Lib Dem MPs to vote against Brexit. He tried his best to corrupt the meaning of Brexit but he isn't getting his way, the majority are instead.

I'm shocked. ;)

The Lib Dems have always been clear about their opposition to Brexit and their voters are in favour of Remain. Why wouldn't they vote against it? This is a parliamentary democracy, not a Tory dictatorship.

He tried his best to corrupt the meaning of Brexit but he isn't getting his way,

What exactly is the meaning of Brexit? People had no idea if it meant soft, hard, red, white or blue. He almost certainly will not "get his way" but he will vote in line with Lib Dem voters which is entirely the point of our entire democracy.

the majority are instead.

UK Population: 64.1 million
Leave voters: 17.4 million

Only in UKIPland does that represent a majority.

What part were you happy with? The blatant bullshitting or the ridiculously optimistic negotiating stance?

Any MP who votes against Brexit is a dickhead who should be ashamed of themselves. The people voted, the MPs are our servants, not our guardians. So it's not acceptable to vote based on party politics or personal beliefs or what the constituency voted for. Every MP has a moral duty to vote for triggering article 50.

We were told by both sides that Brexit meant leaving the single market. So it's no surprise that is what we get.

Majority in the context of those who voted in the referendum. No one ever in political context means majority of the population, they mean majority of those bothered to vote.

The Greens were on the news earlier saying they will fight any attempt to turn Britain into a 'enormous tax haven on the edge of Europe for the big multinationals' & calling it "utter vandalism of the EU".

Chuka Umunna, Twitter wrote:Threatening our EU partners with a "new economic model"-turning the UK into a giant tax haven for the super rich & multinationals is wrong.

It's the ultimate TRUMP card. Even Farage is happy at her speech, calling it "real progress" on Twitter. Nick Clegg however has said May has "turned her back on Margaret Thatcher's greatest economic achievement,"

Apparently Boris Johnson had a big hand in writing May's speech.

I don't see why an MP necessarily ought to put the wishes of other constituents above their own in this situation. They were after all elected by their own constituents, and are ultimately beholden to them when seeking re-election. There are plenty of Remain constituencies and it would seem undemocratic to deny them a voice in Parliament.

I expect it will come straight after the flip-flop from the people who spent the last few months saying how bad it is that the pound has plummeted and everything is much more expensive.
Look out for the bigger bars of Toblerone.
